Suddenly Lily felt the intruder seal go off. She hurriedly unlocked the door and ran to foyer desperate to see who the intruder was. Thanks to her training, Lily could sense Voldemort before she saw him. Of all the times, why did he have to come here now? Normally, Lily wouldn't be too worried about facing Voldemort. The man was only a wizard with a club psychos. However, the eye restoring potion had drained Lily's magic and a good chunk of her chakra so this battle wouldn't be so clear cut as it might have been.
Looking down at the first floor, Lily's heart froze when she saw James' lifeless body lying on the floor. Voldemort sneered and said, "Hand over your son and I'll spare your life."
Naturally, Lily growled out as she moved herself between Voldemort and the door to Harry's room, "Over my cold dead body Voldemort."
In typical villain fashion, Voldemort mentioned how it was a shame and then launched an Avada Kedavra at Lily. However, Voldemort was completely shocked when Lily activated her Mangekyou Sharingan and used Susanoo. Gordic's Hollow was torn apart when the god of storms appeared. Voldemort looked at the ghostly warrior and muttered, "What sorcery is this?"
At the same time, Lily was starting to cough up blood. She hadn't been able to practice in a few months and had overestimated how much chakra she had. Keeping Susanoo up was extremely draining and Lily knew that she was running out of time. In a bitter manner she muttered, "Feel the wrath of a god Voldemort." She then had the spectral form of Susanoo cleave Voldemort in half.
Lily quickly dispelled Susanoo and fell to her knees vomiting up blood. How could she have been so stupid as to use one of her Mangekyou techniques now? Thanks to the potion, her body was basically cannibalizing itself trying to heal the damage she had just done to her eyes. Chances of help arrived soon enough so that she could be treated were slim to none.
Itachi's daughter knew that she was most likely going to die and started crawling towards Harry's room. There was no way that Lily would kick the bucket and leave little Harry defenseless if she had anything to say about it. Lily barely made it to Harry's crib and with her last breath she put two fingers next to Harry's eyes and whispered, "Here's my last gift son. May you always be protected by my sight."
