Chained World - Outlaws: Rest Store [Episode 213063]

by Kender

Melfina wasn't exactly quite sure as to what she should do when she lost parts of her disguise, since that would mean that trouble might find them. Unfortunately, she couldn't find them, so that meant that she couldn't avoid any sort of trouble that might come their way. All that she could hope for was the possibility that they might be able to get away with what she had left, though, with the way that her overalls were loosely hanging off her slender body, that was proving to be problematic at best.

She was going to do as her Master directed though.

It wasn't that she wasn't willing to think, but that she couldn't see herself bucking his authority. Besides the fact that he was already experienced in handling trouble, beyond how he seemed to be working out plans as they moved, and more than just how he seemed to be concerned for her, he was her Owner, and if nothing else, he was supposed to be the one who directed a slave like her. But she wasn't about to deny the fact that she was happy that he was as competent as he was, since that made it easier to go with what he wanted. No matter how rough seeming he was, something about him made her want to trust in him, and that belief gave her a steady heart that she knew that she wouldn't have if he wasn't with her.

Of course, she also didn't particularly understand why he led her into another shop. The basics of it was easy enough to get, as finding a hiding spot was a logical need, and getting a move on would help. Even the fact that they were in a store wasn't all that confusing, as she could see the ease of rushing into somewhere like this.

Her confusion just came from the place itself as she looked around at the place. It was brightly lit, with shelves bearing garments seeming to be located wherever someone felt like putting them. Twisted pieces of plastic sheeting seemed to have been pulled into feminine shapes somehow, almost as if they were as much art pieces as they were useful as displays for products. And even the carpet was fancy, with some sort of pattern that she didn't quite get woven into it.

"Yes, may I help...." murmured a bored voice, which seemed to pick up in emotion as they came deeper into the store. "Why, is it.... It is! Wan-ma, how good it is to see you!"

The martial artist winced as a thin man wearing a tailored sweater and artfully grown stubble hugged him tightly. "Benoit, right?"

"Yes, it is I. But the surprise is you. Simply wonderful. Going for a slight new look? Braided up the ponytail, did we?"

"Somethin' like that."

"On most people, it simply wouldn't work, but on you, it's marvelous. Still, to tell you the truth, I'm sure that we could do something extra special. Maybe a nice scarf, a dress shirt, and even perhaps a good watch.... Everyone would be chasing after you."

"That isn't a problem," the pigtailed boy admitted.

"Well, why shouldn't they. If I wasn't already involved, I would go chase after you myself. Enough about me though. What about you? Open cuffs would look just smashing on you...."

"We're not here 'bout me. It's about her."

Benoit looked over at Melfina, loosely putting the back of one hand under his chin in a 'thinking' pose. "There's a lot to work with here. I'm sure that we can match you in a good outfit, ruffling the dress shirts just right...."

"No, she's the only one gettin' a new outfit...."

"Hmmm. In that case.... A skirt would be wonderful, tight enough to hug the figure without showing too much. Stockings too. She certainly has legs to die for...."

Uncertain as to how she should take it, Melfina laughed nervously before glancing over at her Master.

Ranma just shrugged back at her. "Like I said. 'I know people in weird places.'"

Somehow that made her wonder about how far that statement would go, while:
