"Units loaded, mission mode ready. Exia has finished the First Phase within the allotted time. Now entering into the Second Phase."
"That's Setsuna for you... always doing everything perfectly," muttered one of the males at the helm of the bridge.
"Naturally, that's the way Celestial Being does everything," said the other male with a chuckle.
This caused the brown haired female to snap at the two. "Would you two be quiet? We're in the middle of a combat operation here!"
"Yes, Miss Sierra," droned the two men in sync while the occupant of the command seat gave an amused smirk.
A small beep on one of side station consoles dissipated the light atmosphere as the pink haired operator reported. "An incoming call..."
Lelouch had a feeling on who would be calling up the bridge while in the middle of the operation. "Patch it through." A small video screen popped up on the top right of the main viewing screen to show a pilot in a purple flight suit and helmet seated in his unit.
"Zero Kiryu."
He wished that he hadn't received a code surname from Veda. That full name made him sound like an emo vampire or something. But then again, it was that or Hanabusa Aido. If he didn't know any better, he would think that Veda had a weird sense of humour. "It's unlike you to talk before a mission. What can I do for you, Tieria?"
"...... I expect a full report to be submitted to Veda regarding your prediction that the Enact demonstration would be in Naples."
"Of course." That was all Lelouch got out before Tieria cut the transmission.
"Psst, Lasse... what's up with Tieria getting worked up about Zero?" whispered the helmsman.
The older man shrugged. "Don't ask me, Lichty. I'm just the gunner."
"Hey, what did I say earlier?!"
"Sorry, Miss Sierra," came the rehearsed response of the two men.
The pink haired girl simply ignored the exchange in the back and tapped in commands to carry out the launch sequence for the catapult while the other girl merely grumbled. "You two will be the death of me..."
"Kyrios has arrived at the catapult deck. Linear Catapult energy at 230, rising to the necessary 520. Kyrios has entered the linear field. Preparations complete." She paused while glancing at the monitor's video display of the orange clad pilot for the Kyrios. "The timing is at your discretion."
"I have control. Kyrios, Allelujah Haptism... beginning operations."
