Alright, so now... something like 87 percent of Sapient Beings in the Solar System should be...safe enough for the time being. More or less. Right.
Ha, ha, ha - try to crack those nuts, 'Black Moon Family'...
It was a shame that they couldn't do something similar around the Crystal Palace, but with the Silver Crystal missing - no, nope, that wasn't going to work. Not with the bloody Enemy Mothership sitting right on top of Crystal Tokyo, and those bloody Negative Energy things, and...
Pluto sighed, then. Crystal Tokyo was the oldest of the Crystal Cities, and much known for it's beauty and historical significance, not to mention that Several Very Important People lived here most of the year around, even now, but in some ways...
" - It's a bloody pretty antique, that's what it is."
Pluto nearly jumped out of her seat.
" - Mars. Do not do that."
Mars nodded tiredly, looking over Pluto's shoulder. "Sorry."
"And please stop reading my mind."
"Sorry again - I think you were leaking, this time, though. Things going alright on your end?"
"Yes, mostly. - And on your end?"
"The Mars Colonies are being themselves and so is the Fleet in general. - Naah, sorry... Well, you probably know this already, but... well, you already know that almost all the Black Moon Family forces appear to be crewed by droids, right? And as far as Mercury and our techies could tell, they weren't very high-spec models either, so we just got our own automated forces out in force and started hammering them. Which worked just fine, in most cases. - Certain people in the Fleet and elsewhere, though..."
Pluto sighed yet again. "Gloryseekers or avengers, I suppose? Or both?"
"A bit from column A and a bit from column B, yeah." Mars sighed, then, rubbing her eyes. "I wish that we could stay around in person and keep on looking after stuff, but... Damnit. We don't dare put the Queen in any more danger then she is already, you know?"
Oh, yes, Pluto did know that quite well. And since it seemed to be very likely indeed that the reason the Palace's shields were still functional even with the Silver Crystal gone was because Neo Queen Serenity was somehow feeding them extra power herself, even encased in crystal...well.
And with that distinctly Chaotic something persistantly sniffing around said Palace shields...
"So! Um...King Endymion?" Mars said, quite apparently forcing some cheerfulness into her voice.
"Is awake already, as you no doubt know already. He isn't fully connected to the holo-system yet, but he should be able to talk to... Small Lady. Shortly."
"OK, then." Mars muttered. "So - you're going to go ahead with sending her?"
Pluto sighed yet again, steepling her hands. "I have talked things over with his Majestiy " - well, not for very long, since he was still in pretty bad shape, but - "We have come to the conclusion that it probably would be better to send her back, all things considered. Safer, too."
"...And if this - Black Moon Family - finds some way to go back in time, too?"
Well, this was quite a reasonable question, since the long awaited for but never appearing up to this point in time Doom Tree Clan had managed to do just that, once upon a time, well, according to what they thought should have happened, anyway, but -
"Hmph." Pluto murmured. "If they try to go through the Time Gates, I will block them with all the power at my disposal, of course."
Well, considering how things had turned out up to now...
"...And if they managed to find a different way to do that?"
Well, there was that, of course. Pluto looked up at the ceiling, thinking of the starry heavens.
"Well, in that case - we'll just have to play things by ear, wouldn't we?"
"Small...Lady..." The voice of the King is weak and thready, but still recognizable as his. "Be...careful..."
"I will, Papa."
Small Lady Serenity is not crying anymore.
"I...will... I will go back to the 20th Century, and find the Silver Crystal, and - and I'll bring it back here, so we can save Mama. And then..."
"20th Century..." King Endymion smiles weakly, looking at something nobody else can see as his attention wanders. "Sailor... Moon... can not be compared with...anyone..."
"Mmmmmm." Small Lady murmurs, drawing his attention back to her. "Papa..."
"Small...Lady...Be careful......"
"I will."
"... Love you..."
And then, finally, Small Lady Serenity cries.
For the last time in a long while, for a child.
