As the 3rd Defence Force, consisting of three dark blue Tieren space type mobile suits, were launched into space, the three pilots were briefed over their radios on the situation. "This is control to all units... the unknown is approaching the D3 area. ETA is 0287 until they reach the pillar."
"Roger that. All units, stabilize yourselves," ordered Lieutenant Ming, the Chinese squad commander. "We'll stop the enemy en route!"
"Sir, the enemy has changed course!" Ming looked at his monitor to see the flying Hellions make their way towards the rings.
"Damn! They're hiding in the rings! Prepare to intercept!" He fired the thrusters of his Tieren mobile suit to fly faster, with his two wingmen lagging behind him.
"Shouldn't we wait for backup, Lieutenant? We can't do this alone!"
It was times like these that he wished he could give a decent inspirational speech like Sergei Smirnov, the infamous Wild Bear of Russia. Instead, he settled for something simple as they could see the silhouettes of the enemy mobile suits flying by. "We have to do what we can to ensure the safety of the station! Fire!!" The three Tierens began to fire their machine guns at the Hellions but they were unable to hit the enemy. And what started to worry Ming is the formation of the enemy, with one clearly leading the other two that were sticking rather close together as if...
"The enemy has just fired something! They're on course for a direct hit to the station!" cried one of his wingmen.
"We can't shoot them down in time!" shouted the other just as frantically.
All Ming could do is watch helplessly as the missiles got closer to their intended target. 'Tianzi help us...' Just as that thought passed through his head, a pink energy discharge out of nowhere struck the missiles, causing them to explode prematurely and cause minimal damage to the structure.
"Where did that come from?!" The only trace that Ming could get from their mysterious saviour were small bits of yellowish green particles in the distance. 'Just... what is that?'
"Zero's forecasting really is amazing," commented Allelujah to himself as he flew the Kyrios towards the three Hellions. The two of them that were carrying the missile container dropped it and fell behind to fire their rifles at him but the high speed and agility of the Kyrios easily weaved in and out of the attacks. With a few shots from his GN beam submachine gun, the two Hellions were destroyed while the third continued to head towards the station at full speed.
"A suicide attack? Geez, I hate terrorists..." He flicked a switch to open a quick channel to his fellow Gundam Meister. "Tieria!"
On cue, a large white and black mobile suit armed with a pair of barrel GN cannons mounted on the shoulders and carrying the large GN bazooka blocked the path of the lone terrorist. "Virtue, destroying the target." The GN bazooka shifted in front of the Gundam Virtue and unleashed a powerful energy blast that eradicated the final member of the renegade Hellion squadron. "Third Phase complete."
"Honestly, that was overdoing it," muttered Allelujah as he prepared to head back to the Ptolemaios.
Inside the Pillar of Heaven, the party had come to a standstill once they felt the shockwaves from the weapons fire outside. The guests were baffled by what had just transpired as they could see the remnants of the smoke from the Hellion's explosion even though they were far away from the actual brief battle that just occurred. "...... what just happened?" asked Kinue weakly.
"I don't know but you should see what I just caught on film!" exclaimed Nakata as he showed her the image of a large white and black mobile suit that seemed to be responsible for the explosion. The appearance was unlike any previous model that was produced by the AEU, the HRL or Union.
While the duo from the JNN continued to review the footage, the slow waltz between Wang Liu Mei and her date up above came to a halt. "Kyrios... Virtue... you two have certainly made a wonderful debut," murmured the Chinese celebrity to herself.
Rai merely kept his thoughts to himself. 'The three powers won't sit quietly knowing that there are mobile suits out there with technology generations ahead of their own. Zero's probably aware of that too...' The thought of Celestial Being's tactical forecaster known as Zero reminded him of the masked vigilante that opposed the Britannian Empire long ago. He wondered how that old man who started everything managed to revive that symbol but it didn't matter. If the Zero who was with them now was anything like the first Zero he remembered seeing while he attended Ashford Academy, then maybe Celestial Being could grasp that gentle world after all.
