Code Geass - Zero of Celestial Being: Declaration [Episode 213973]

by Yasanagi

"Geez, you look beat. Rough night, Saji?"

Saji Crossroad, a rather plain looking Japanese American male youth, merely gave a loud yawn as he walked towards the cafeteria of Ashford Academy to get a much needed coffee. "Someone called in sick so they had to ask me to take an extra shift delivering pizzas. Finished work around midnight and went straight home to bed afterwards."

"That means you probably didn't get Professor Spacey's e-mail about today's political history class being cancelled," mentioned his companion, a cute looking Spanish girl with long blonde hair and bluish-green eyes dressed in a denim skirt, designer boots and a pink top. The only other notable feature about her was the choice of backpack that she carried to school, a yellow blob with stubby arms, legs, a black top hat and a generic happy looking expression. It was the first gift she received from Saji, even though the Cheese-kun backpack was a freebie he got from working at Pizza Hut.

He groaned loudly, causing the girl to giggle. "So we get first period off? I could have slept in a bit then! Just what happened, Louise?"

Louise Halevy had to think for a moment to recall the message. "He didn't say anything except he's going to be away for a few days and will be back by the end of the week. There's no homework this week but we'll have to be ready for next week's debate. I think the topic is on one of the old Emperors of Britannia. Some demon or something."

Only one name came to mind to link the words demon and Emperor of Britannia, thanks to his consistent habit of careful reading and study. "Lelouch Vi Britannia? Great, I can already imagine how loud the class will be from arguing whether he was truly a dictator or if there was something else behind it..." He trailed off as he noticed the cafeteria being more crowded than usual with everyone's attention focused on the news.

"Hey, what's going on?" asked Louise out loud as she and Saji got closer to the television.

"They say this guy took out the terrorists," replied one of the seated students.

"A mobile suit? Which military?"

The only response Saji got was a shrug. "They don't even know."

Before the youth could ponder about this more, the screen switched back to the news anchor. "And now we interrupt this story with an emergency update. JNN has just received a video message from a mysterious organization claiming to be responsible for preventing the attacks. It's not clear who they are or whether the contents of the video are true but we believe they are closely involved with the incident. Please watch as we broadcast it uncut."

The view switched to a sharply dressed bald man with a beard seated on a chair in some living room. Both of his hands were resting on a cane and he wore a pair of glasses except that the left lens was missing. "I would like to announce to all humans who were born and raised on Earth... we are Celestial Being."

In Neo Pendragon, an aide rushed to inform the current Emperor of Britannia and Union's effective leader about this new development.

"We are a private armed organization that possesses the mobile weapon, Gundam."

In the Forbidden City of China, a sparring session between the Tianzi (the head of the HRL government) and his personal martial arts trainer was paused as they watched the announcement.

"Our objective is to eradicate war from this world."

In an observation lounge, a felon grinned as he wondered how he could change the world with the Gundams at the disposal of Fereshte.

"We are not acting for our own benefit."

In the AEU central assembly, the members of parliament had to pause their session on how to defuse the news about the Naples Mafia involvement with their higher ranked officers to watch this new development.

"We have stood up for the great goal to wipe out war."

In a small Jeep driving to a Union embassy, a blonde ace pilot laughed at how Celestial Being's own existence is a contradiction.

"As of this moment, we announce to all humanity... territory, religion, energy - no matter what the reason, we will intervene in any act of war with force."

In a penthouse somewhere in Germany, a man dressed in a red business suit with a drink in his hands told his green-haired male companion that the revolution has begun.

"Any country, organization or corporation that aids war will be a target of our intervention."

In a transport heading towards Earth, a young Chinese woman, resting against the shoulder of her white-haired companion, smiled at the thought of the first step being taken to change the world.

"We are Celestial Being. We are an armed force, created to eradicate war in this world."

In the Kingdom of Azadistan, a young female monarch worried about how this will only create more conflict by intervening.

"I repeat..."

'So this is how the game begins. A rather interesting opening move... so how will the world respond?' Lelouch's thoughts were interrupted as he heard the door to the bridge open from behind. The two pilots of Kyrios and Virtue drifted in just in time to hear the end of the announcement.

"Hallelujah... it's like we can see the whole world's evil," commented a orange clad youth with shoulder length hair and one bang covering his right eye.

The purple clad boy who wore a pair of glasses behind him merely crossed his arms. "Now we shall test mankind as Celestial Being."

"That's cruel," murmured Christina Sierra, the brown haired female tactical operator.

The immortal silently agreed with Chris but he also knew that this is what had to be done if he was to fulfill the wish of the one who awakened him 62 years ago. 'Lilia Vi Britannia... for your sake and for the sake of those who wish for a gentle world where war will not be an option to resolve conflicts, I shall destroy this world and create a new one from its ashes.'

Somewhere on a private island not known to the three super powers, Lockon Stratos deactivated his small portable TV device. "It's started... no, it's already begun. It can't be stopped now, right Haro?"

"Can't be stopped! Can't be stopped!" chirped the orange robot on the ground.

He turned over to glance at his blue clad comrade who just removed his helmet to reveal the face of a youth of Middern Eastern descent. "We've picked a fight with the entire world. You understand, Setsuna?"

"I understand." His brown eyes drifted to the slumbering forms of Gundam Dynames and Gundam Exia. "That is the role we shall play as Celestial Being's Gundam Meisters."
