Change to empowered form ends with a blonde Akane with waist-length hair, tripled strength, speed and hand/eye coordination quadrupled, and uprated swordsmanship skills by an undetermined but high factor. Highly uprated durability and tissue density.
"There is NO Fandral found in my perusal of Norse databases," pointed out Ami. "Fandral doesn't even sound like a Norse name."
Akane didn't seem to care, bouncing off a tree trunk to tuck into an acrobatic midair roll, in order to land on top of an upright log that was used for punching practice.
Ami sighed as polite applause from various Senshi met this display.
Idunn - Aesir goddess of immortality. Channelled by Kasumi Tendo by use of summoning golden apple. Significantly uprated strength, durability, and healing factor. Ability to summon Golden Apples, empathy towards trees and plants. Other abilities unknown.
"You might as well add that she can grow apple trees," said Makoto.
"What gives you that idea?" asked Ami as she worked on her computer.
"I was watching her," said Makoto drily.
Ami blinked and looked up and determined that, yes, as a matter of fact there WERE four new trees growing nearby - the oldest looking several years old and bearing apples already. "Oh." Well, at least they looked like normal apples instead of magic golden ones.
"This one says the soil Ph really isn't that healthy for it, poor dear," said Kasumi as she touched one of the pre-existing trees bordering their campsite.
"Uh huh," said Ami. Well, she supposed that WOULD be of concern to a tree.
"I don't know, but I suddenly feel a certain degree of kinship with her somehow," said Makoto thoughtfully.
Ami visibly twitched at that statement.
"You DIDN'T know what would happen?" asked Akane.
"With absolute certainty? No," admitted Setsuna. "Was I reasonably sure? Yes. Did I think we at least needed to try? Yes. I can't reveal too much due to paradox."
"What do you mean 'paradox'?" asked Akane.
"I am Sailor Pluto, guardian of the Gates Of Time, Senshi of Time who originates in the future," said Setsuna. "I know the future, or at least A future, but I cannot reveal too much of that future because of the rules laid upon me by my post."
"To avoid Grandfather Paradoxes and the like," said Ami, looking back down at her computer.
"What's a 'Grandfather Paradox'?" asked Usagi, predictably.
"That's where you go back in time, accidently kill someone like your grandfather, which means you never get born, and therefore can't have gone back in time," said Mamoru Chiba, not surprising anyone at all that he knew of such concepts.
"Paradoxies gives me a headache," said Usagi, scratching her head as she tried to work that out.
"Amen," said Setsuna, agreeing wholeheartedly with the sentiment.
"So there's something happening in the future where you'll need backup?" asked Akane.
"No," said Setsuna. "Note, however, that need is not the same as couldn't find really damn useful in this instance."
"Ah," said Akane. "So by being able to turn into a superpowerful martial artist-slash-swordswoman, I can save lives and kick monster bootie?"
"That's the idea," agreed Setsuna.
"Oh good," said the reassured Akane.
