Of course, he had half expected that the boy would go for a female slave. Beyond the facts that there were a number of slave girls up for sale, and that his son tended to be weak against feminine entreaties, Ranma was still male, and the concept of having a lovely female body all to himself was rather appealing. So, as much as he could hope that the boy would get another guy as a slave, it had been entirely likely that a slave girl would be the chosen one. Fortunately, it looked like the boy hadn't only picked slaves that were attractive, but could actually be useful and strong, though he'd have to see what their skills were to pass judgement.
That was neither here nor there though, as he had other concerns at the moment. "Good to know, boy, but I'm sure we'll get to know each other well enough later on."
"I guess," Ranma allowed, and sighed. "What d'ya plan on doin' instead?"
"I plan on getting us going. We have things to do, and sitting around here won't help anything."
"Great. On the road again."
"Wrong."
The pigtailed boy blinked at his father. "But ya just said...."
"I know what I said, but you didn't understand. We're just moving along, since this isn't a hotel, or a campsite."
"So you're movin' us ta one?"
"Better. We're going to be moving into our new home."
"Eh?"
"It's really simple, Ranma," Genma said as he looked down his nose at his son. "The fact is that while you were picking out your slave girls, I was getting us other property."
"And that means...." Synclavier began.
"I brought us a dojo! Well, a house with a dojo, but you get the idea."
"Oh."
"And it even has an associated shrine that's next door to a shrine. Or was it part of the shrine. Maybe it was that the shrine overlooked it. Something like that. What's important is that it's all ours!"
Miyabi and her redheaded partner traded a glance as they pondered this sudden 'good fortune'.
At the same time, their owner raised his brows at his father. "Ya brought us a house."
"Pretty much. We'll have our own dojo to train in, and we can take in students once we get it ready," the elder Saotome confirmed.
"It needs work?"
"Yes, but it's not impossible. The place just happens to be a real fixer upper, but we can handle it. Besides, that will let us make it just how we'd like it."
"Hmmm.... that actually sounds like a good idea. Surprised that ya came up with it."
"Well, yes.... HEY!"
Apparently ignoring his father's aggravation, Ranma grinned, with his two new slaves nodding in approval, while:
