A two story house with a dojo in back. Not really all that different from the Tendo house that he would have settled into if he hadn't gone across dimensional lines. It was even in the same area of Nerima, the Furinkan ward.
It was slightly bigger. Japan had seen a few more wars, a bit more people leaving Japan during economic downturns, a major fire and some other problems that had been supernatural in origin that his original Furinkan had not.
It had been while Genma was doublechecking for any evidence of Soun Tendo that he'd run across the place with the 'For Sale' sign. Sufficiently run down and in need of repairs that he could afford it, though there was also talk of either it or the shrine next door being haunted.
No big deal, to Genma's mind.
"What. A. Mess." was Ranma's immediate summation on seeing it. Broken windows. Roof tiles missing. Pieces of the property wall cracked or simply gone.
"Just needs a little work, the sooner you get started the better," said Genma.
"Uh huh," said Ranma without enthusiasm.
"Synclavier?" asked Miyabi.
"I feel it too," agreed Synclavier.
"Where are we getting the materials to fix it up?" asked Ranma. He didn't have a lot of problem with hard work. The problems he had were mainly with the fact that neither he nor his father were particularly practiced at construction, nor were they carrying building supplies with them.
