This whole situation was not sitting well with Ranma and he wasn't thinking about his new job. Things just didn't go this smoothly for him. Life had taught the pig tailed boy long ago that either the girl he was meeting would be certifiable, a rival would pop out of the woodwork or- At this point, the pipe in the ceiling above Ranma sprung a leak. Oh yes, there was always the ever popular curse being activated. Now that he was a talented red head, Ranma was sure that Anzu would freak out and all headway would be lost.
Anzu's eyes widened a little when she saw the curse activate. Of course she knew about it because Nodoka had mentioned it. However, intellectually knowing about the curse and witnessing it first hand were two totally different things. Almost instantly, Anzu saw Ranma tense up and it hit her. The young man, or was it woman, was expecting her to start yelling and causing a scene. That immediately tugged at the former Dual Monsters cheerleader's heart. Just how many times had people reacted badly to the curse for this to be an instinctive reaction?
Ever so silently, Nodoka watched Anzu to see what she would do. The elder woman had done everything to prepare her starlet for this moment and now it was time to see what she would do. In the back of Nodoka's mind, she was running through a list of other potential actresses if Tea wasn't able to handle things.
Luckily, Anzu proved that Nodoka's instincts had been correct when she gave Ranma a small smile and said, "Interesting trick Ranma. Your mother never mentioned that you were a magician as well as a martial artist."
Ranma was completely thrown for a loop by Anzu's response. No one had ever considered the curse to be a magic trick before. Everyone almost immediately treated him like a freak because of it. Ranma's mind was still trying to process what was happening and he accidentally blurted out, "It's a curse."
Anzu then gently placed her hand on Ranma's shoulder and said, "Well as curses go, I think that it's not a bad one. After all, no girl can ever claim that you don't understand what they feel and what they're going through. Besides, its obvious that you can change back into your true form since you came in here male. Now, is there anything I can do to help reverse the curse?"
Nodoka could barely keep herself from breaking out in celebration and her son gave Anzu a deer in the headlights look and he said, "Uh, could you get me a glass of hot water? I just need some to change back." Anzu gave Ranma a small nod and then headed off to the kitchen. Nodoka noted with interest as Ranma's eyes followed Anzu's retreating form. More particularly, she notice as her son's eyes slowly started to wander down Anzu's form.
