That was what made having his Neogirls around so wonderful. Not only were they great companions and friends, but they were able to help him in so many ways. He depended on them all the time, and cared about them deeply and intensely, which he knew wasn't always seen as important, but he didn't care. They were important to him, and so he'd rather put himself through some sort of hassle, rather than deal with the possibility that they would be taken away from him.
Perhaps one of them could tell him exactly how he'd read the map quite so wrong. Oh, he was used to finding buildings at odd moments, but this was a bit stranger than usual. From what he'd known of the area, there wasn't supposed to be any buildings anywhere nearby. Yet, he was currently standing on an overlook, seeing a building quite clearly there.
The thing was that it didn't fit the area it was in. Most of the structures in the area that he'd been traveling had been low lying and relatively small. Yet, this place was rather sizable, and even had some smaller outbuildings arranged around it, with a wall surrounding the entire grounds. It had the simple design of official organizations, but it didn't have much that spoke of what it was. In fact, it was set out in a small valley, without even a road leading up to the gate. Just what they could be doing way out there wasn't clear, but he wasn't looking to investigate anything.
Rather, he was merely looking for help, and from his limited understanding of the language, it said something about the government. If they were some sort of officials, then they could know where he could get some help, even if they couldn't direct him back to the path that he was supposed to take. There was always the possibility that something could go wrong, but he rather doubted that a governmental outpost was looking to get hassles from trying to punish a foreign teen.
Had he been able to know that he was heading towards a research facility before he started walking towards it, he might have been a bit more concerned, while:
