A Sailor Senshi World: A call to arms [Episode 21898]

by Ijuin-kun

Of course, the Ginzuishou would never have given in to Happousai's and Usagi's desire to create a multitude of Sailor Senshi if it were not for another powerful item: the Ginga Sword.

The Ginga Sword was, simply put, the most powerful Senshi-related artifact in the galaxy. When Galaxia had become corrupted and made her attempt to enslave all of the Senshi in the galaxy, thus beginning the Sailor Wars, the Ginga Sword was hidden away. Such was its power that it could have been used to easily win the war against Galaxia, but so fearsome was it that no one dared use it against her out of fear that she could seize it and strike down her opponents. Thus it came to be that Central Command, the headquarters of the Anti-Galaxia forces (better known to our heroes as the mysterious command center that Luna and Artemis periodically reported to) decided to place the Ginga Sword in the one location where Galaxia would never be able to reach it--at the Time Gate. The Ginga Sword was entrusted to the keeping of Sailor Pluto, and she was sworn never to reveal its location to anyone--not even to Sailor Moon.

The Ginga Sword had two abilities that made it so fearsome. The first was that its wielder could draw upon the power of any or all of the Senshi in the universe, effectively creating a single warrior who was as powerful as all of the Senshi combined. This power, however, paled in comparison to its second power. The Ginga Sword, when weilded by a Senshi who had achieved Super, Eternal, or Ultimate levels (yes, there WAS a level higher than Eternal), had the power to dictate who would and who would not be a Senshi. It could take any individual who had the qualities of heart necessary to become a Senshi, and create the bond necessary to empower that individual. Heritage, gender, species, none of these were barriers as long as the individual's heart matched the necessary profile.

Yet the Ginga Sword could also take away a Senshi's power forever. A Senshi wielding it against another Senshi could seal away her opponent's power. In Galaxia's hands, she could have instantly rendered her opponents powerless, which was why the Sword was hidden away, despite the fact that it could have also been used to raise a massive army of Senshi to fight Galaxia instead.

Now as the Ginga Sword slept away at the Time Gate, it sensed the Ginzuishou's attempt to remake the Earth and pondered the situation for a while. A world inhabited by hundreds of millions of Senshi? That was unprecedented--Senshi were ordinarily so rare that only the galactic capital, the seat of the Senshi Council, was the only world that could boast more than a few hundred. Still, the idea intrigued it. Plus, due to its proximity to the Time Gate, the Ginga Sword could sense that there might soon be a need for a large, coordinated army of Senshi that only such a world could provide. The Sword agreed, and lent its power to the Ginzuishou. In moments, hundreds of millions of people all over the Earth found themselves to be the recipients of new Senshi powers.

Although a link to a star or planet gave the greatest power, a Senshi could be empowered through a link to any body of sufficient power. Moons, asteroids, comets, all of those could do just as well. Even fictional realms could be linked to a Senshi if enough people believed in them, as could ideas. Thus, it was no problem for the Ginga Sword to find sources to link to the new Senshi. Soon, the new planet full of Senshi would awaken...

Note: I am thinking that at least one girl in five (and any boys that you might choose :P ) between the ages of five and thirty will become an active Senshi, and an equal proportion of younger children are potential Senshi who will become active as they grow older. This means enough new Senshi that the number of families possessing a Senshi will greatly outnumber the number without.

Alternatively, there may be so many new Senshi that being one is now considered the norm--the Senshi would greatly outnumber the "normal" girls. Remember, all that is required is a heart that believes in love and justice and that good can and should always triumph over evil--the Ginga Sword can take care of the minor issue of the person not fitting the description "bishoujo".

Feel free to name the new Senshi anything you want--every new Senshi knows her name even if she doesn't know her powers yet. I would like to use real and fictional worlds (moons, asteroids, etc.) as names first though--especially for people that the original Senshi know who have become new Senshi--such as Naru, etc.
