“Well I think we’ve officially filled our embarrassment quota for this party,” said Jane as she walked outside to where Daria and Ranma were.
“You’re the one that started it Lane, so don’t complain when you fall victim to our masterful revenge,” said Daria, with a slight smirk telling the other teenage girl that there weren’t any hard feelings now that the scales had been balanced.
“Okay, message received, I get you, you get me just as bad,” said Jane. “So are you two ready to bail?”
“Can’t,” said Daria. “As much as I may want to my mom would kill me if I came home before Quinn.”
“She wasn’t looking too happy with the three J’s last time I saw her, so maybe she’s ready to go home too,” said Ranma.
“Sounds good,” said Daria as the trio went back inside. Ranma had to shut his eyes again to keep from freaking out, but his hearing was good enough that he was able to maneuver around with only minimal guidance from Jane and Daria.
The sight and sounds that greeted them when they finally zeroed in on Quinn and her dates was a bit surprising, and caused a frown to appear on Ranma’s face.
“Does she look as happy about them fighting over her as she sounds?” asked Ranma.
“That’s my sister folks, future manager of the underground fighting circuit,” said Daria.
“Why the frown Ranma? I thought guys dreamed of fighting over cute girls or having cute girls fight over them. Wouldn’t you like to have three girls fighting over you?” asked Jane.
Ranma thought about it for a few moments, and thought it may be fun now and then before he felt a shiver crawl up his spine and a feeling of pure doom settled in his stomach. It was as if his instincts were screaming at him to ignore the speculation he had heard in the locker room from the other guys and to not even tempt fate by even thinking about answering in the affirmative.
“I think I’d pass on that,” said Ranma as Daria led her sister over to him and Jane, the three J’s apparently knocking each other out leaving Quinn without a ride home.
“Wow,” said Quinn as she took in the Ferrari. She may not be into cars, but she knew enough to know what ones cost a lot of money so she would know just how much a guy had to spend on her, and this car told her that Ranma had a lot of money to spend.
“Okay everyone hop in,” said Ranma as he unlocked the doors.
“Oh man, is that yours Ranma?” asked Mac as he and Jodie suddenly appeared from a grove of trees, with Jodie’s hair obviously more messed up then it was earlier.
“Yeah, I found it when I looked in the garage,” said Ranma.
“You look in your garage and find a black 1961 Ferrari?” asked Mac. “Man if it wasn’t for the whole amnesia thing I’d say God was your best friend or something, no one is that lucky without some kind of divine intervention.”
“Maybe I just have some good karma built up or something,” said Ranma with a shrug as he got into the car. It wasn’t like he really knew about his life, and after learning he turned into a girl with cold water finding an expensive car in his garage wasn’t too out there.
“Maybe,” Mac agreed.
“Well I’ll see you in school tomorrow,” said Ranma as he started the engine and drove off.
“So what do you think?” Mac asked Jodie.
“I think between what Ranma can do to a girl in a washroom and that car every member of the shallow squad will be after him by the end of the week,” replied Jodie.
