"What?" asked Hinata.
"See, you got a copy of this card too," said Naruto. "I don't understand this writing though."
"That's my name," said Hinata as she found her own copy of the card.
"Eh?" asked Naruto. "That is?"
"The lettering is of one of the Eastern Kingdoms," said Hinata. "Not one of the Great Shinobi Nations, but notable in that they have other accomplishments. They're the ones who developed some of the items we use like your game system."
"Oh, them!" said Naruto, eyeing the card now. "Come to think of it, it kinda does have that sort of lettering. So what does any of the rest of this mean?"
"This is a very old style of one of their old languages, but I'm not sure otherwise," said Hinata. "What's this changing number?"
"I don't see one," said Naruto.
"It's counting down to zero," said Hinata. POFF! "oh. that's what that means."
"So these things have a time limit," said Naruto as Hinata's clothing turned to her relatively normal variety.
"I'm suddenly very hungry," said Hinata, turtling into her clothing from embarassment.
"Well, I really don't see how that was supposed to get us out of here," complained Naruto.
The Hokage traded looks with the others still remaining.
As this had dealt with the Ninetails, Jiraiya the Gamasennin had been located and brought with as high a speed as he could be. Somewhat easier had been the additions of Yamato and Kakashi, their expertise brought for the same reason.
Hiashi was still present, but apparently distracted by some problem in the supply network that his clan had developed to serve their needs.
"NO!" thundered Hiashi Hyuga. "I don't care about shipping problems."
"A pactio requires a kiss," summarized Jiraiya, thinking of what an ENORMOUS pity it was that Naruto couldn't teach him that ability if it were a kekkei genkai. What an excuse! What an opportunity! What a... say. That's an idea. He'd have to take Naruto on as a pupil, then research the pactio (which incidently would require his sensei to arrange a few more pactio for observation) and then research it himself personally just to ascertain that it WAS a bloodline ability. Ah, the suffering of a ninja to learn new techniques.
"Why do I sense a new book in the Make Out series coming along," mused Kakashi as he watched Jiraiya plot something.
"I take my research of the series seriously," admitted Jiraiya, "and you have to admit it sells a LOT better than my other series."
Kakashi shrugged so as to reply but neither agree nor disagree with that statement. It wasn't as if he didn't read the one himself.
