Kodachi had entered after her brother, she'd also screamed and left the pyramid. She was now a weeping huddle which spouted something that sounded like apologies over there at a "base camp" that Cologne was putting together.
Of course, this hadn't worried Akane. Not at all. No, not her.
It had scared the heck out of her - that's what it did.
She entered the pyramid anyway, despite protests to her father shoving her in like that. She didn't care about Ranma. No way! She also wouldn't admit how scary this was. Nope.
When she reached it, Akane looked into the mirror and screamed much as the two Kuno members had.
She saw how she had contributed to each and every problem she had, from the morning Horde O' Hentai, to Kuno's delusions, to her problems with Ranma.
She experienced each and every failure she'd gone through in her life, and that she'd failed to improve herself after.
She saw everything bad about herself, as an outsider might see, but magnified a dozenfold and hammered in relentlessly.
Unlike Kuno, she didn't run away. She sobbed a lot, but managed to get further in, opening the door and letting it shut behind her.
The next thing was even worse. The corridor of mists quickly took shape around her.
The first obstacle was Unpleasant Truth, exaggerated slightly in importance to make an impression.
