"I need to check on something first but I think I'll try some flower arranging with Glycine and the others later," replied Ogami as he figured that maybe he could get his visit to the Yumegumi done before he forgot all about it later.
His response brightened the mood of a certain French noblewoman. "Yes, that would be best. If you are Japanese, you need to learn the 'michi'."
Now that Sumire knew the Lieutenant would be joining them later, she would have to ensure that the lesson went smoothly. "I shall make certain that you have properly learned about the true spirit of Japan."
"My, that sounds encouraging. Sumire-san, we shall be counting on you." Hanabi did wish that Sumire was a bit more of a Yamato-Nadeshiko and restrain herself a bit more. The thought of learning something delicate from such an outgoing woman caused her to sigh quietly as she hoped that this afternoon's activities would not turn out to be a disaster. Especially with Ogami-san also participating.
With his afternoon plans more or less set, Ogami left to head to where the Yumegumi resided while hearing Kanna address the other girls who were heading downtown with her later. "Well, if that's the case, we'll head out at noon. Everyone meet up at the Tei-Geki entranceway later, got it?"
"Okay!"
It had taken him a while to navigate to the section of the Imperial Theater occupied by the Yumegumi but he finally found a large hall filled with candles and ofuda surrounding a group of women dressed in miko garments who were in deep prayer and meditation. He was about to step in to find someone who could help him until he felt a light hand on his shoulder hold him back. "Ogami-san, I presume?" asked a soft female voice.
"Er... yes?" He turned around to see another young miko with long black hair behind him. A pair of yellow hair accessories and ribbons were in her hair, tying back some of it from her face.
"My apologies for startling you but I must ask that you do not disturb their prayers."
"O-of course." The miko led Ogami to another room which would allow them to speak without bothering the others. "How did you know I was coming?"
"I was able to foresee your need for our services but as to what exactly you need from us, you will have to tell me." She poured a cup of hot herbal tea for her guest and passed it to him.
After taking a sip of the brew which actually helped the queasiness of his stomach go away, Ogami explained what he knew about the mystery woman and his plans to try and find out more about her along with her intentions for the city and the two Kagekidans. "Since the Yumegumi's psychic senses are sharper than the Hanagumi's, I was wondering if you may be able to pick something up."
"I see. I will speak with my fellow maidens and we shall research on this matter. But I ask for your patience as results and answers may take time to obtain."
He finished the last of his tea before bowing gratefully. "I understand. Thank you for looking into this matter, Miss...?" He trailed off when he realized that he did not ask for her name.
"Kasuga Maori," was her reply. She then paused when she took the tea cup that he handed back to her. "Ogami-san, one moment..."
"Hm?" He was surprised when she took his hand and carefully studied the palm. 'A palm reading?'
She gazed at the lines on his hand while analyzing their meanings. "An unusual heart line... I presume the reason you are searching for this mysterious woman is because she has altered your romantic perspectives in some dramatic fashion?"
He merely sighed. "You have no idea..."
"Your fate line... it suggests that a reunion is close with someone who will have an impact on some of your life choices..."
He was genuinely curious. "Who is it?"
"I cannot tell." She let go of his hand before addressing him again. "Fate works in unusual ways, Ogami-san. With some luck, it will work in your favour."
"Let's hope so. Thank you again, Maori-kun." Now that this business was done, he had a bit of free time before the flower arranging lesson. What to do?
