'It's pretty quiet around here,' noted Ogami as he arrived back in the lobby. He checked the clock and noted that his visit had only taken about thirty minutes. 'Did they leave earlier?'
"Erica, you mustn't do that anymore. Do you understand?"
'That was Maria-kun... and it came from the cafeteria.' He walked over to see Maria scolding the French nun while Kanna was trying to calm things down.
"Ahh, I'm sorry. I just got a little excited, that's all," replied Erica in an apologetic tone.
"Now, now... Erica did apologize to me, Maria. That should be enough, right?"
As soon as Kanna tried to defend Erica, Ogami stepped in. "Hey, what's wrong? Did Erica-kun do something?"
"Ah, taichou. Excellent timing. The fact is... Erica went and gave away Kanna's prized victory banner to someone," explained Maria.
"Yes, an old woman looked like she was cold, so I gave it to her to use in place of a mantle." Erica did seem proud of herself.
The Russian woman merely sighed. "I realize that she was just trying to help someone but..." She was feeling a bit more unsure and turned to Ogami. "Taichou, please say something to her."
"Well, let's see..." A few options came to his head on how to handle this and he settled on the one that he felt would keep the peace. "Erica-kun, good work helping out. You did something good."
"Thank you! The old woman was very pleased about it too!" exclaimed the nun happily.
"Taichou, what are you saying?!" hissed Maria in his ear.
"I know, just hold on a minute," whispered Ogami before he addressed Erica again. "But... it's not right to just go and give someone something that belongs to another person. Make sure you apologize to Kanna, Erica-kun."
The French nun immediately turned to Kanna. "Kanna-san, I'm sorry. Will you forgive me?"
"Yeah, it's all right. You were just trying to help out after all. Just be careful from now on, okay?"
Erica smiled at Kanna's response. "Yes, ma'am! I understand!"
"Taichou, I'm impressed," whispered Maria as she saw for herself how things were smoothed out.
Ogami merely smiled. "Oh, no... it's all thanks to you." He felt something in his pocket tingle and realized he had just received a new message from the portable kinematron. "Excuse me while I check my messages."
After exiting the cafeteria and finding a more private place in the theater, he opened the device and read the message. "An emergency signal from the Baragumi's room?" To be honest, the earlier impression that the Baragumi left on him was rather awkward since he didn't share the same feelings towards them as they had for him.
'Well... I guess I can head there later.' He pressed the blue button on the portable kinematron to end the transmission before wondering what to do next.
