"Then maybe HE can give pactios of his own," said fangirl #2, the kunai she'd been preparing to slam into Sakura's body stopped.
"Which means..." said fangirl #3, lowering her ostrich feather.
"SASUKE!!!" said a large number of fangirls as they turned from the task of punishing Sakura to the task of getting a kiss from Sasuke Uchiha.
"Well, looks like you escaped this time," said Ino, hiding the magic markers behind her back.
"They're all going to try to claim Sasuke's lips! Aren't YOU going?" asked Sakura.
"No, I'll wait until they're all done with their sneak attacks, then I'll calmly explain that if he kisses me and doesn't get a pactio - they'll all stop bothering him," said Ino.
"I... see," said Sakura.
"Are you going to get up?" asked Ino.
"As soon as my legs stop shaking," groused Sakura. "I thought I was going to die!"
"No, you can't die yet," said Ino. "You're my number one rival that I have to defeat. Of course you can't die before I win."
"That is SO not comforting," said Sakura.
Sasuke's eyes flicked over the card, which showed him in fairly normal clothing, apparently reading a book.
"Arcana: Tower" - he had no idea what that meant.
The symbol for "knight" as the shogi piece was over there in this upper corner. That oddly pleased him, as that was the piece that could go around obstacles in its path.
Sasuke considered that for a moment. Hinata was ALSO a Knight, but with "Arcana: Priestess" and had that thing in that booklet that Naruto had. Something about the stronger the relationship, the more power they could draw?
Sasuke tried to remember and thought that the Kiba/Akamaru card had been "Arcana:Chariot" but had he been the Lance or Rook? He'd only seen the card briefly.
A sound as of weight settling on a roof tile caused Sasuke to perform a quick disguise jutsu. Now there was just an extra bush in his yard, nothing to draw attention.
"He's not here?" asked one of the fangirls, landing lightly in the courtyard.
"Ohhhh," complained another fangirl, landing nearby. "I wanted to be the first to try and get a pactio from him."
"We'll have to catch him and then have our wicked wicked way with him," chuckled a third.
"We want to see if we can get a pactio from him, so we have to kiss him," said the first. "That's all."
"Ah, but kiss him where?" chuckled the third.
"Wasn't there an extra bush here just a minute ago?" asked the second.
"Sounds like they started getting into a fight again," said Sakura.
"Yeah, pathetic, they'll never catch Sasuke like... did that bush just move?" asked Ino.
"We may have to cooperate in order to rescue Sasuke's lips," said Sakura, sounding as if she REALLY didn't want to consider that thought.
"Perhaps... hmmmm," said Ino before dismissing the bush as being of no interest. "What about Naruto?"
"You can have him," said Sakura.
"The last person he kissed was Sasuke, so if I kissed Naruto - it would be an indirect kiss of Sasuke," mused Ino.
"Honestly, I wouldn't kiss Naruto if he was the last boy on Earth," said Sakura, huffing. It would just encourage Naruto, after all. Watching her with those puppy-dog eyes and all. Well, except for lately. Sakura found herself frowning at the idea of Naruto starting to ignore her, and then frowned some more at her own reaction to that.
