Ranma ducked low, spun up, and continued to beat on Ryouga while dodging everything the boy could throw at her.
"Burning Whip!" Mars formed a whip out of flame and began snapping it at the wildly dodging Saturn. "Once my whip has lashed around your neck, you'll be licking my boots, wench!"
"eeep!" Saturn didn't like that idea at all.
If you were to look into the mind of Genma Saotome, you'd find a mess. There was Greed, Gluttony, some degree of Pride, Idiocy, and a host of other faults that tended to overwhelm his good points.
Yet he was fairly clever in some things and he had one true great abiding love in his life. No, it was not Nodoka. No, it was not Ranma though he did have a great deal of pride bound up in seeing that Ranma was the best of the best.
It was The Art. For the sake of martial arts, he had studied under Happosai. For the sake of the Art, he had married so that he could have an heir when his own age was catching up with him. For the sake of the Art he undertook hardships on the road. Mind you, it was also to get out of working for a living, but there had been easier paths he could have taken were it not for the Art.
He had crafted two entire schools/approaches - the Yamasenken and the Umisenken. He'd had to seal them afterwards, but he'd managed to create them.
The boy(girl) and that girl had not become weak. Their opponents were using a flaming whip, and the other was using Boar style Bando. Neither was a slouch.
Hotaru and Ranma were moving almost as one. Choppy motions became more and more fluid as they adjusted to their new tandem style. Saturn leapt away from a fiery whipping to sweep-kick the Bando fighter. Ranma dodged around the Bando-ist's lunge to deliver a "Boot to da head" on the girl in the tight leather outfit.
Then, without any apparent signal worked out between them, they switched back. Further confusing their opponents and increasing their advantage over them.
Beautiful. His son might be a girl at the moment, but he and Hotaru were moving as one - and for the moment - they were one with the Art. Genma wiped a tear that he would have vehemently denied having.
Ah, Hotaru was proving that tight leather bodysuits might have an armor value, but high heels were not the best thing to wear on soft ground during a fight. The whip wielder's mobility was compromised.
Genma nodded and another thought entered his head to bring a smile to his face.
Return Ranma to normal and get him those other rings, and Nodoka would look at all the little girlfriends that Ranma had collected and be assured of his "manliness" no matter what. And as these were genies and not human girls, well, there was no danger to that Tendo-Saotome alliance, was there?
The battle reached a crescendo as the two Anything Goes switched back again. Ranma's foot accidently getting caught in the whip wielder's choker and twisting. The flaming whip vanished as the girl clawed at the choker with her eyes bulging as the two went down in a heap. The Bando-ist was sufficiently distracted by his genie popping out of her top during this manuever that Saturn's elbow spike slammed into a completely open groin. Though Genma could tell Saturn had actually missed her target - she'd been aiming for a knee when Ryouga had abruptly stopped.
