However, he was shuffling in through the door, he was ecstatic over what he was seeing. Expensive wood was everywhere, with everything, from the boards of the floor to the solid columns, were polished to a high sheen. Beyond the changing and the equipment rooms was a vast hall where one could even have a military battle if one wanted to. It was the sort of place that major competitions were held, and it was all for him.
Everywhere he looked, he could see all sorts of matches going on, with just about every sort of martial art being practice. On one side a self defense class was being held, with a tough looking instructor teaching beginning students. Nearby, several judo students were having a sparring match with each other. And as he watched, someone with wings was sailing up in a kendo match against someone who could apparently match the attack blow for blow.
And all of the combatants were female.
As he watched, he stared, trying to figure out just what he could do here.
"She's is half tengu," commented Doctor Lorelei as she came to step over to him.
"So, she's here 'cause...." he drawled.
"In her case, she had no place to go, so she was taken in here. And now you're providing a home for her."
"But I didn't...."
"You should realize this, but just so that you know, you are what makes it possible for them to be safe and happy," she told him with a small smile. "Without you, they wouldn't have a reason to live here, never mind stay like this."
Hearing that made his shoulders slump and pressed his lips together. Things had already been troublesome for him, as he had been stuck with all these extravagant things out of the blue, and now he was starting to realize that he was responsible for all of them. He didn't know how to lead a school group, and now he was supposed to be in charge of a whole horde of girls that he didn't even know.
"Don't worry. There are ways to handle it, and we can help you with the work."
"Oh man...."
"What am I supposed to do?"
"Take it in as best you can. And get to know the girls, if you'd like. Why, there's Aigis over there. Hello, Aigis."
What looked like a girl with short blonde hair came over to them, but on closer inspection, one could see that her joints were all doll like and mechanical. "Hello, Doctor. Did your work bring you here?"
"Not exactly. I'm showing the new Master around."
"Ah, I see. Welcome, Master. I am a bodyguard unit."
"Nice ta meetcha," Ranma replied and then blinked. "Is that why you're in the dojo? To look for trouble?"
"No, I was having a practice match with Alisa and Vivienne."
"Who?"
"Alisa Bosconovitch and Vivienne," Lorelei put in, pointing towards where a teenage girl had metal wings fold out of her back as she went hand to staff against a blue haired girl who was apparently wearing a metal outfit.
"Okay...."
"So, this is the Master?" murmured a new voice.
Another newcomer sounded bemused. "It certainly looks that way."
"And who would you two be?" he ground out as he took a step back to look at the girls that had just popped up.
"Akira Okuzaki," answered the girl in the ninja attire. "Security department, special ops division."
"Name's Tifa Lockhart. Good to make your acquaintance," the busty woman said as she gave him a lazy salute with one hand.
Blinking, Ranma wondered what he should do now, while:
