Thunder Ken: a pebble falls down the hill [Episode 225801]

"Come on, come on," said Usagi, dragging Rei in front of Doctor Mizuno.

"Yes?" asked the physician in question, wondering what this was about. Then checked her watch because she WAS due to leave for the hospital.

"We wanted to talk to you about Ranma," said Usagi. "One of Ami's friends really likes Ranma, and I think she'd make a good couple with him."

"I see," said Doctor Mizuno, putting that together. Well, this was relatively normal activity for their age group. She should have expected that. "What do you say about this, Rei?"

"I..." Rei blushed, fidgeted, and glared at Usagi for dragging her into this. "I suppose."

"I see," repeated Doctor Mizuno, who had expected Rei to be a bit more forward than that. She certainly didn't seem to be shy in other respects. She quickly stepped up to the raven-haired priestess and patted her once on the shoulder. "Well, I'm rather busy at the moment. Still, if you truly want this, I will give my permission. Try to treat my son well."

"Yeah, sure I..." Rei stopped and blinked, then looked at the doctor's back as she left. "What?"

"Okay, we've got permission to fix Ranma up," enthused Usagi.

"I guess," said Rei, having this odd sensation that something had just happened.

Doctor Mizuno glanced back at the two girls as she drove off. Not what she had expected at all. She'd expected either Minako or Makoto to approach her, judging from the looks she'd been able to observe. Especially one morning when Ranma had removed his shirt next to the campfire and hung it out to dry. The doctor was glad that Minako had stopped choking eventually.

Doctor Mizuno paused as she got to the first stop sign. For that matter, there had been the time when Ranma had been finishing up a set of martial arts manuevers and Makoto had handed him a towel. Her eyes, however, had roamed over Ranma like she was starving and facing an 'all you can eat' buffet. Nothing Makoto had said or done was improper, of course. Just a moment when the tall girl had slipped and shown interest.

Well, Doctor Mizuno reflected that while she was a doctor, she was also a mother. And her adopted son being able to attract interest was certainly good from that standpoint. Though she really hadn't expected REI to be the one who spoke up first.

Ah well. Young girls tended to be hormonal. Not so much as boys perhaps, but still somewhat hormonal.

Best to keep an eye on them. Just in case.

Kodachi took one of the pills the doctor involved with the group had prescribed her and wondered exactly about this diagnosis. Three times a day for two weeks, then see the doctor again for monitoring.

The trials life required of one when one's destiny was obviously to be the chief rival of a magical girl!

Honestly, she'd never imagined that Japan's superheroine group had an on-call physician. Not that the idea didn't make perfect sense.

Yet if these were to protect her from evil magic and possibly allow her to access her own magical powers - the mere taking of a pill three times per day was hardly a deterrent.
