It might be an omen, but her father was openly contemptuous of such considerations. Better not even to think of such a possibility.
Besides, while she was away from the house she could offer up a quick prayer that Naruto was safe. Couldn't hurt, after all.
Then tomorrow was a mission. Kurenai-sensei hadn't told them any details but had mentioned that it would be a very long trip.
"Okay, well, on with the training trip," said Jiraiya.
"Excuse me? Do you have any idea where we are?" asked Naruto, gesturing at the scenery around them.
"We're not in the Land of Fire," said Jiraiya. "I know the forests there and this isn't them."
"We're not in that 'Konmei' place anymore," added Naruto as he looked at a tree and saw just a tree. How could you tell where the tree was from?
