[Episode 231784] [Episode 231784]Toltiir looked at slowly fading Naruto next to him. Naruto's face kept changing from annoyed to sad and back again.
“What's eating ya kid?” the omnipotent being asked. “I would have thought you would have been happy to see things turning out better this time round.”
After a long pause he replied, “Yeah. I know. It's just that things are turning out so well.”
“And why does this bother you?” Toltiir said in a fake German accent. Naruto saw that the cat was now dressed in a business suit holding a clip board. Oh yeah and somehow he was reclined on a long comfy couch.
“It's just, I was thinking, that what I went through, all the being ignored and disliked ya know, didn’t mean anything,” Naruto replied back.
“I see,” the cat replied as he consulted his clipboard. “You are hurting because the third Hokage over protectiveness ended up making your childhood a difficult one. Ya?” Naruto propped himself up and looked over the cat's shoulder. On the clipboard was a manga with frames of Hinata, Sasuke, and his other self playing tag on it.
He reached out and tried to reach the manga and paused. His hand was even more transparent then before. Not long before he merged with this life he figured.
“I just want to see if Hinata turned out okay,” he said to the elder god, who obliged by shifting the clipboard toward him. He grabbed a handful of pages and flipped to near the end and gasped at what he saw. All the pages were blank and blood stained. “Wh-Wh-What does this mean?” He said as he looked up at the elder god with horror. Naruto solidified as he flipped back a few more pages and found more of the same.
“It means,” the god replied with a weary sigh, “that you were killed before your time. Your story continued without you. Here, let me see what happened.” He took back the manga and leaned on a log that wasn't there a moment ago.
Naruto stared at the campfire that also appeared as he waited for the cat in khaki shorts to say something. “You were taught by private tutors and didn't have many friends beside Sasuke and Hinata. The other children were afraid to associate with you when their parents told them that you should be respected. So to get their attention, you pranked a few of them. You had hoped everyone would get a laugh at it, but it had the opposite effect. It made you a bit of a pariah with some of the parents who didn't want that sort of influence on their children.”
“At least I still had a Hinata and Sasuke. That doesn't sound too bad.”
“Let's see and then . . . oh . . . ick.”
“What? What happened?” Naruto asked as he shot up to look at the manga. The cat closed the pages before he could look at them and shook his head.
“Mizuki takes your severed head to collect all the bounties on the yellow flash's son and is able to live a carefree and easy life to the end of his days. That was when Kakashi and Minato tracked your killer and put a Chidori and Rasengan through his chest and head. Respectively.”
“No way! How'd this happen? How'd he get me?” Naruto said while clenching his hands.
