Unfortunately, that was also impossible to do, which basically wrote off the possibility that they could name the group 'Ala Alba'. Doing that would eventually bring the young teacher and Ranma's group into contact, but the fact was that it was also likely to bring them together. That could even make it so that they would wind up stronger than before, which wouldn't serve her Mistress' plans one bit. And what would make it worse if they teamed up together, which would give them both problems at once.
It would just work better if Saotome and the girls with him were kept occupied by other concerns, pulling them away from any possible confrontation with the Springfield boy. Of course, the 'Red Haze' gang and kendo team were little more than distractions, so they weren't of use in the long term. What was needed was a bit of a continuing hassle which would provide its own line of problems for them to wonder about.
By Chachamaru's considerations, she could see that the simple answer was usually the best. Seeing as a name could be important in this school for both students and faculty, it could be a big 'target' sign if provided with the right... 'associations'. There were plenty of groups with names that drew attention, like the 'Jets', 'Sharks'... or the 'Templars'.
It was a really old 'gang' name, to the point where they were still talked about. Some people might have ignored newcomers taking up the name, but there were those who would like to punish those 'usurpers' for stealing the title. Names tended to get a certain reputation attached to them, and there would be individuals who would want any chance that the 'history' of the gang would be sullied. On the other hand, they would have plenty of people who would see someone taking up the name, and would want to test them, seeing the 'new gang' as being the successors of the 'originals'.
Of course, no one had particularly asked Saotome and his compatriots if they wanted to be at all involved, but then that was besides the point. They would be pulled in either way, and would have to be dealt with appropriately. Were she to be perfectly honest, the robot girl would have admitted that she disliked having to do this, but it was necessary for her Mistress' aims, and so it would be done.
All that would be needed would be for word to be spread amongst certain ears, who would most definitely have the 'information' spread out before day's end. Gangs usually tried to name themselves, but they'd gotten named by others from time to time. So, this would be seen as such an incident, and would be likely treated as nothing major. But then the news of this new group would be the center of attention... especially as it came time for the more established groups to test their own mettle against the new arrivals.
