Barnette currently being in the brig, Ranma had been locked in a different part of the ship. An older room that had been used for storage.
That this had been the same room to produce the "Christmas video" hadn't been known to the crewmembers who'd locked him in here.
Ranma put in a video that looked interesting, not having any idea that monitors all over the ship would now be showing the video. He was just bored and looking for something to do.
It wasn't until fifteen minutes into the video that he realized (he hadn't been paying a lot of attention, distracted by recent events) that the video was actually:
