Alien 1/2: The forest was always nice, then came Ranma [Episode 23399]

by Jamil Nate

Ranma's instincts told him that staying in town was not a good idea for now. He was still not mature enough. So he made a beeline for the japanese wilderness. He moved at night under the cover of darkness, feeding on animals and stolen food. He managed to evade capture by the authorities and well-meaning adults, thanks to his superior physical capabilities and his emerging martial arts skills.

His Xenomorph DNA carried several benefits and among them what could be called a 'genetic' memory. The original aliens had already all the knowledge they needed at the time of their birth thanks to this ability. Ranma had inherited it and it also gave him access to the memories hidden in his human parents' genes ! Instinctively, he already knew the Saotome school of Anything Goes martial arts and Nodoka Saotome's kenjutsu style. All he needed was time to train and integrate them on a conscious level.

A few days later, he found a deserted forest large enough for him to hide and grow up undisturbed. The locals avoided it because of their superstitious beliefs about a monster living in the lake at the center of it. Ryugenzawa was not a safe place.

Time passed and the forest suddenly became populated with giant animals. And it became painfully obvious that they were kept in only because of the traps laid by someone in all corners of the forest and the monster itself.

Some said the monster was a wild child of sorts, inhumanly strong and fast. Few believed it however. No mere child could kill one of Ryugenzawa's giant beasts so easily... Little Shinnosuke wondered too, what could do this and never fall in any of his traps ? He had only seen flashes of a humanoid form.

During that time, Ranma moulted again and now the young alien/human hybrid looked like a twelve years old, belying his real age of six.

Then one day, something happened to change Ranma's life as a legendary monstrous predator in the Ryugenzawa cursed forest...
