“… that you wish us to be put into one of those worlds like I have lying about here,” Nabiki finished, as she motioned to her currently viewable stacks of manga, videos, books, etc… Normally, she didn’t like to have this stuff out for a few reasons.
One was Akane would like to come in and try and ‘borrow’ something. That wasn’t so bad on its own, but when the story started to take a turn Akane didn’t like, she’d take out her frustration on the item in question; even if it wasn’t hers.
This was also why her friends never loaned her such things. She may be a nice girl, but she was a violent maniac given certain situations, such as a preferred pairing not coming off in canon. Seriously, the girl needed to write fanfiction if it was that much of an issue for her.
But then she’d probably receive some flames and then the computer would get destroyed.
Second were the constant battles around Nabiki. Some of the issues and DVDs—currently still in a secure box—were worth a lot. Even the ones not worth much were at least useable to trade with a few of her cohorts to get some things she wanted: new DVD releases, new issues she wanted to follow but not cough up the yen, books not available in her local library—and surprisingly Nerima did have a good size library. But since it had no huge depository of martial arts schools, it was avoided like the plague.
And third was dear Grandfather Happosai. What got between him and any possible silky darlings or escape tended to be trashed, and since she was currently going through to see what she could trade, that left the items just as vulnerable to chasing martial artists and fire-spewing perverts as they were to grabby little sisters.
But back to the wish; her wording had been specific to test one thing: Mihoshi’s reaction. Scantily clad girls after Ranma was nothing new, neither was the look of Sailor Moon after a boob job and with a tan. And while the whole wish spiel was a new twist to try and get closer to the pigtailed wonder, there was no way in hell it could be true, something Nabiki was going to prove. After all, if the blond was after Ranma, she certainly wouldn’t agree to some promise to send him to another world where he could be alone with another girl.
“Cool; wish granted!” chirped the bubbly blond.
“Wait, what?” yelled Ranma, before the trio popped away.
“Ranma!” bellowed Akane, as she barged into the room, fresh from arriving home from watching a movie with her friends. “You better not be… Ranma?
“Nabiki?” she asked, looking around. “I could have sworn I just heard them.”
Looking around, she let out a squeal as she darted towards the bed. “I always wanted to read this one!” she said with happiness, as she leapt onto the bed of the middle Tendo and began to go through the now available manga.
