Mischief Fragment - Super: The Junior Green Beast Of Konoha [Episode 236724]

by Kestral

Danzo had not been present when the baby in the spaceship had crash-landed. There had been a member of ROOT though.

A glowing green rock was recovered because it was a) unattended, b) glowing - unusual for a rock, and c) the member of ROOT was able to correlate the green tinge in the one baby and the green rock.

Danzo had held onto the rock, discovering that containment seals and lead boxes both seemed to contain whatever the strange light was that he noticed with his stolen Sharingan. He had never forgotten about it though.

He also discovered some odd effects on his underlings while experimenting with the odd thing. One being that he lost all his hair. Another being that the original finder of the rock was now locked away in a deep cell, chained and held as a weapon of massive destruction he could unleash when the time was right.

A ninja who had no genjutsu or ninjutsu talents was deemed an acceptable test case, and a portion of rock was broken off and dropped where he could find it.

The results were quite intriguing. Now if he could just get the same result more than once, so that he could mass produce soldiers with such a thing.

Rock Lee had been out training and had the green rock in a belt pouch. When it had started raining, it had not put any sort of damper on his spirit.

The bolt of lightning, on the other hand, had been a bit of a downer. At least initially.

Tenten was reminded of this as she watched Rock Lee and Neji Hyuga spar, with results that were somewhat different from a year ago.

The changes in Rock over the past year had been phenomenal as far as Team Gai was concerned. Rock's height had increased until he stood perhaps an inch shorter than Gai-sensei.

His hair had started coming in GREEN of all colors. His speed, stamina, and strength had increased dramatically. He'd gone from lanky but typical twelve year old genin to levels of muscular that made him look muscle-bound. Except he wasn't. No, what he was - he was the team Tank. An ancient term for a form of war machine that only existed as fragmented stories, but he kind of fit the term.

It was really hard to get a weapon to penetrate his skin, unless the wielder was an expert and used explosive tags or something - he'd just shrug off typical weapons.

From what she'd seen just recently, Naruto was faster but Rock Lee was still pretty darn fast. Stamina such that at one point Gai-sensei had kept him running for three days straight and Lee had passed out and still kept running.

Finally, there was his strength. If there was anyone with greater physical strength in the Five Nations, there couldn't be too many.

A fight between him and Neji basically came down to speed. If Neji could close off enough chakra points - Neji would win. If Rock Lee managed to get a good hit in - Neji would need to have the broken bones set and would have lost.

Rock Lee's first win had been when he'd hit the ground hard enough to shatter it and throw Neji off balance.

The only problem with Lee's strength was that he hadn't been born with it. He'd spent weeks handling eggs and similar fragile objects and there was absolutely no danger of him squishing team members accidently. Unless he got overenthusiastic or (far worse) drunk.

Fortunately it seemed one of the ANBU had a technique for regrowing a forest that had suffered Lee getting drunk. Off a single chocolate bonbon.

There was one other thing that had been quite noticeable to Tenten when Rock Lee had finished changing into the long-green-haired strongman he'd changed into. His face.

Tenten was a good kunoichi, professional and with a distinct lack of 'squee' reactions. Oh, she'd appreciate a cute guy. Right now she had a feast, because Rock Lee had a certain degree of handsome that had managed to appear. Even his eyebrows weren't as bad - partly because the rest of him had grown mostly into those. Then there was Neji. And, if she was going to be honest about it, there was the Hokage's son Naruto who looked to have gotten a bit more buff and less goofy looking...

Okay, Tenten admitted to herself as she watched Neji trying to dodge Lee and Lee trying to grab Neji, Neji had a cold stoic mature bishonen going for him. Rock Lee had gone from bleah to Romance Novel Cover Studmuffin. Naruto was looking pretty cute. She'd caught a glimpse of that Uchiha boy - he had a broody cool look.

But she was a professional kunoichi and she would maintain that professional image, sighing while watching members of your team spar was not part of that image.

Naruto whimpered, this was unusual.

He finally collapsed as Minato finished drawing the last line and flashed chakra through the contruct.

"Okay, he's apparently got to learn control over this 'superhearing' power," said Kushina. "You think it was that kunai?"

"There's nothing in there about green kryptonite doing things like that," answered Minato, taking out the little yellow book 'Raising Kryptonian Children In A Yellow Sun Environment For Dummies' that he'd stolen from a table while the little cat had been pulling weird items out of thin air.

"Well, his power development was thrown out of whack apparently, and right now his superhearing is out of control," said Kushina. "What happens when this 'heat vision' or 'superbreath' go off like this?"

"I figured since this 'Hinata' girl is interested in Naruto," said Minato. "When the X-ray Vision and Telescopic Vision come into play, she can teach him how to control them."
