He was absolutely fine until he took a step to the side and his foot found a banana peel.
At which point his nose became acquainted with the "Choose This Avatar - Yes" box.
"Uh oh," said Naruto as music began to play.
"Full of mischief is our infamous school of terror,
Its' name: Maritsu Evil Academy,
To raise us into perfect demons,
(Just like Overlords)
"Going on a rampage today (with a nightmare march)
Maritsu Evil Academy. (You can't get away.)"
"This doesn't sound good," said Naruto as he backed away from the statue.
"An end of the century exam,
in the morning's dark assembly,
classes at midnight
with zombie teachers.
Bloody school festivals,
graduation day's a massacre."
"Oh that doesn't sound good at ALL," said Naruto, looking for a hiding place.
"Our hearts dance to this sinister dream,
Who will be the best honor student of all the land?"
"Well, no," admitted Toltiir. "Though a relative value of 'good' could be supposed."
Naruto got a good look at the statue. "Oh. Snap."
A chime sounded, followed by a perky feminine voice. "Naruto Uzumaki is now cleared for entry to Maritsu Evil Academy as a transfer student. Path to Overlord requires survival to second year, then transfer to Netherworld 384517 for final destination."
"NOoooooooooooooooooooooo!" screamed Naruto as a tunnel opened up and began sucking him in. "I don't want zombie teachers!"
Slurp!
"Meh," said Toltiir as Naruto got sucked into the game. "You wanted strength. Well, that's got it."
"And here we have transfer student, Naruto Uzumaki. Class: ninja."
"Uhm, let's be friends?" asked Naruto hopefully.
"Bwahahaha!" laughed some white-haired kid with big glasses. "I know the perfect club for you!"
"The 'Going Home' Club?" asked Naruto hopefully.
"Nope," said the boy, snapping his fingers.
[Naruto has joined the Robber Club]
"Robber?" asked Naruto.
"Now," said the same boy. "I think we should take you through the Class World so you can power up to proper minion status."
"Wha?" asked Naruto.
[Naruto has become Mao's minion. Title: Low Level Flunkie.]
"Wha?" repeated Naruto.
"Don't worry," Mao assured him. "This will only hurt enormously."
"Was that supposed to reassure me?" asked Naruto, looking for an exit.
Day Two:
"You sure complain a lot for a low level flunkie," noted Mao.
"I died! Fifteen times!" responded Naruto.
"Only nine times," said Raspberyl. "The other six times you were just severely maimed."
"I quit!" said Naruto.
"You can't quit," noted Raspberyl. "The exits to the school are warped space. Without an exit pass, graduation scroll, transfer paper, or more power than you've got - you'll just end up back in the classroom."
"This SUCKS!" exclaimed Naruto.
"I agree," said Mao.
"You do?" asked Naruto and Raspberyl.
"As a ninja you totally suck," said Mao, his glasses turning opaque as evil music began to play.
"Bye bye," said Naruto before dashing for the door.
"Dark Assembly homeroom invocation?" asked Raspberyl as power built up around Mao.
"If a minion isn't useful in one form, I'll just have to change that form," said Mao. "I won't let him change back until he's proven himself... useful."
Which was how Naruto ended up spends the next several months as:
