It had been a ninja's house - that was for sure. Just the hidden passages and compartments were indication of that.
He'd seen the light coming through a crack in the roof hitting something glittery though, and now he could see that there was... a sword hilt?
Naruto snorted as he picked up the thing, blowing dust and splinters off of it. Well, maybe he could get enough money for Ichiraku's for salvaging this.
Call me Saber.
"A ghooooooooooost!" yelled Naruto, leaping back and forming a shield of white chakra in front of him. "Eh?" The shield flickered and faded away. "How'd I do that? More important, how do I do that again?"
Ahem.
"Oh right, the ghost," said Naruto, picking a plank off the floor of the attic and bringing it up to defend himself with.
You're holding that entirely wrong, you know.
"What's wrong with the way I'm holding it?" asked Naruto, then frowning at the misty shape forming over the swordhilt that he'd dropped.
Well, for one thing. You're going to get splinters.
"Well, it's all I've got," retorted Naruto.
Holy chakra. Interesting. Not enough for me to even form more than a wisp of a body and momentarily awake though.
Naruto found himself reacting to the sadness in that voice. "Oh?"
It would take two more visits before he'd actually pick the thing up.
The wisp gradually gathered itself together and formed the image of a woman in her late teens.
"So, who are you, ghost-san?" asked Naruto.
Call me Saber.
"That's a kind of sword, it isn't a name," complained Naruto.
The girl cocked her head at him, regarding him with blue eyes as her image continued to un-fuzz.
Naruto considered the girl for a moment, puzzling over her appearance. She was paler skinned than he was, and her hair was a lighter shade than his own, but she could pass for an older sister. "How about I call you oneechan?"
'Big sister'? I have been called 'Saber', 'Saber Lily', or 'Arturia' but that is a title I have not been called.
"Well, you are now!" declared Naruto. "You've got a sword there. Can you show me how to use one?"
I can give you pointers, but without a physical body, I am somewhat limited, confessed Saber.
"Eh, pointers will do for now," said Naruto.
Tenten snuck closer as she heard a voice raised in complaint.
As she slowly parted the leaves in front of her at Training Ground Ten, she was greeted with an unusual sight.
A woman with blonde hair was wearing white garments with some parts being obviously armor. In her hands she wielded a two-handed sword. Not a "horse-cleaver" sort of sword, but not a katana either. Something in between. This was sort of eclipsed by her being at least partly transparent.
Trying to mimic her stance and moves was a young boy wielding a tachi.
When her gaze went back to the woman, Tenten froze as those blue eyes were now looking directly at her across the intervening distance.
It was somewhat unnerving, especially as she could see the leaves and branches on the other side of the clearing through the more-transparent parts of the woman's face.
Then the moment passed and the girl had returned her attention to drilling the boy on the proper use of the sword.
Tenten decided:
