"No doubt it is something you said," replied Setsuna, not even drawing her sword as she simply sunk the scabbard into a solar plexus.
"Yet Lord Ranma was not involved with these," said Kaede. "I would recognize them."
"You Templars will stop right here!" said one of the Horde, this one wearing a mask and drawing a pair of kunai.
He puffed into vapors the moment Kaede sent a shuriken through him.
"Bunshin?" asked Kaede, familiar with the ninja technique.
"Yes!" said one of the Horde. "That's our signature technique! One person becomes an army! We are an unstoppable tide!"
"I don't know, that little blonde girl over there seems to be stopping you pretty good," noted Ranma as the little girl continued to dispel copies of the same three individuals.
"Eh?" asked one of the Horde.
Which was when the 'Templars' counter-attacked in full measure of course.
He watched as things developed. Not that he was alone, as many of the other groups had observers out for these new gangs.
The boy was a warrior, plain and simple. Fast, strong, and holding back a LOT while dealing with the Horde.

Members: Teisuijun Inukawa, Gesaku Iwa, Bukotsu Iwa, Yasui Kamikaze, Ippatsu Gorotsuki, Dolk Blodtorden, Drek Thar, Garo Makaikiai, Jorin Naime, Chishio Akaken, seven new pledges as of start of school year.
Motto: "Overwhelming force."
Colors: Blood-red with black tribal marks.
Special Talents: Minor ninja training, use of clone techniques. Upper members have higher level ninjutsu.
The Horde's lesser members, the new pledges, were used to attack first and gauge the strength of these 'Templars' before the better fighters charged in.
The watcher noted that the Horde still seemed a bit disorganized. The upper ranks of that gang WERE known for being at each other's throats most of the time, so that part wasn't all that surprising.
Ah, now one of the leaders of the group was coming forward.
"Enough," said Chishio, holding a hand up, fingers spread. "We'll do the formal challenge tomorrow."
"What do you call this?" asked Ranma.
"Testing our new pledges," said Chishio. "You seem unclear as to the rules. I suggest you learn them."
"Uh, right," said Ranma.
"You are Chishio Akaken, are you not? Iwa chunin?" asked Kaede abruptly.
Chishio had been turning away, but stopped and inclined his head. "You?"
"Koga genin, Kaede Nagisa, ninja retainer to Ranma Saotome," responded Kaede.
A cold smile showed itself on Chishio's face. "I look forward to our match tomorrow then."
"What was that about?" asked Ranma as the Horde dispersed.
"Chishio Akaken, the Red Fist clan," said Kaede. "His clan are battle-maniacs, always looking for tough fights to hone their skills. The remainder of this 'Horde' are mainly half-trained and I only saw rudimentry control of a clone technique. Chishio though - he will be harder to defeat."
