As Eris left, Rezo contemplated on what he has concluded after receiving word from his agents. Prior to their arrival to Seyruun, various agents reported that from the looks of things, Lina wasn't fighting off rival bounty hunters, but genuinely protecting Zelgadis and his friends.
Why she was protecting him instead of fighting him was a mystery, until he got more info on the blond swordsman. He was Gourry Gabriev, as in the Gabriev swordmen family. That family is known for weilding the mysterious and legendary Sword of Light.
With that information, the pink man's claim of being a Shinzoku from the Overworld made more sense. He is obviously here to collect the Dark Star weapons, and has somehow convinced Lina and her partner Naga in assisting him in locating them. Of course he didn't know that Lina herself was bearing a Dark Star weapon, as Lina hadn't used it ever since she was sent back into the past.
So at the moment, they are now in Seyruun, with Naga apparently having talked their way into an audience with the king. From the looks of things, Seyruun now doesn't seem to be willing to assist him in the matter of the bounties.
That's why he now sought new bounties, not for the purpose of capturing them, but to force them to confront him in Sairaag.
Hopefully, before they'll arrive, he'll have the aid of a powerful Mazoku Lord. That's why he 'freed' Tilba, on the condition that Tilba gets a message from him to the most powerful Mazoku there is, the infamous Hellmaster.
