Alice was just sitting on a chair quietly eating her meal thinking of the last few days with her new friends. Since she had met Lockon with his mobile suit it was one surprise after another. Who would have guessed she would be taken in by a military organization about to take on the largest empire her world had ever known?
The gundams were amazing and Alice was shocked that the giant mecha were not even showing their full strength. Not to mention the Ptolemaios which was Celestial Being's mobile base and spaceship. She had met all sorts of interesting people and seen all sorts of amazing things: Gundams, Ptolemaios, and the Celestial Being station which housed a super computer named Veda.
"So Alice are you enjoying yourself?" Sumeragi asked the young girl.
"I sure am, you guys are amazing!!" Alice answered. "I mean you guys are so strong yet you protected me. I mean considering what's going on with Britannia and that you are going against them."
"I have seen more of Charles zi Britannia's speeches about his views and quite truthfully I have to say he's quite the disappointment as both an emperor and a man." Sumeragi's voice just oozed with disgust. "I mean he rules the strongest nation here and yet he acts like a school yard bully who is never content with strength he has. Not to mention he and his nobles are very much hypocrites when they talk about the terrorists trying to free their own homelands from his tyranny."
"You don't think much of him, do you Miss Sumeragi?" Alice asked.
"No I do not. Here he has all this power and wealth and he acts like a spoiled brat who wants more and more. From the Britannians viewpoint he is a legitimate leader but to others especially those he and his nation has conquered Charles is nothing more than a terrorist hiding behind his title." Sumeragi answered. "I don't respect such a leader at all and if you ask around you will find that all the others here don't as well. It's going to be ugly when he comes after us to steal our technologies."
"So you don't think he's going to give in to the demands that were issued by Celestial Being?" Alice asked. The tactical forecaster just shook her head sadly. "So what do you think his next move is going to be then?"
"He has to even the playing field so his soldiers have a chance on fighting us with a chance to defeat us so he's going to be trying to make giant knightmare frames to try and match our Gundams." Sumeragi answered. "He might also try to engage us in battle in order to gain intelligence on the Gundams' capabilities in order to find a weakness with them."
"What about allying with the Chinese Federation or Euro Universe or even the Black Knights?" Alice asked.
"It wouldn't work, Alice since the Chinese and the EU's very first demands would be for us to grant them access to our technology which would be a disaster since it would only be a matter of time before it was leaked to Britannia." Sumeragi answered. "Not to mention from what we see of the Federation the eunuchs have complete control are living in luxury while the rest of their countrymen suffer. If the Empress Tianzi was in charge we might consider lending a helping hand to strengthen her country but with those men in control of the country and the child empress not a chance."
"And the Black Knights?" Alice pressed on.
"Setsuna may not be the most talkative of people but he has a good set of instincts on him and you don't survive being a soldier as long as we have by ignoring your instincts. Setsuna felt unnerved talking to their leader,Zero." Sumeragi just smiled wryly. "And it takes a lot to unnerve that guy."
