"How was Subaru?" Fate asked as Teana walked in a little cautiously. Sitting across from the enforcer, Asuma was reading through several print outs.
"She's good," Teana responded. "But I can talk about that later."
Fate looked up from her own reports and turned toward the younger Enforcer.
"We have a potential location," Teana said gingerly. "An agent on one of the non-administered worlds stumbled on something in a local periodical about interesting researches. I've got a transcript here."
She handed over a piece of paper to Fate.
"This is looks like it could be cribbed from Scaglietti's early papers. Which world is it?" she asked. "And why a transcript instead of a copy of the periodical?"
"Because you're not going to like it," Teana said. "It's non-administered world #97."
"Earth," Fate said. "Do you know where?"
"Not specifically," the younger said. "But we have the company that claims the discovery."
"Earth is the planet that seems to share some of our history?" Asuma asked for clarification.
"That's right," the more experienced Enforcer said. "Where Nanoha and I grew up."
"And the best part is that we can drop off Team 10," Teana looked toward Asuma for confirmation on the title, "when Nanoha and Vivio go on one of their family visits."
Teana felt an intense shiver down her back and she turned slowly to look at Fate who seemed to be trying to bore a hole through Teana's back with her gaze.
"Or we could avoid involving Vivio at all in anybody following Scaglietti's and Precia Testarossa's line of research," the younger enforcer suggested nervously.
"Actually, I think now might be a good time for my genin to put their henge practice to the test," Asuma noted with a smile.
"What's that?" Fate asked quickly, turning her head in time to see Asuma vanish into a flash of smoke to be replaced by what looked like Nanoha.
"And there's someone else on Earth we might want to speak to after the mission," Asuma commented in Nanoha's voice, right down to tone.
"That's..." Teana said, staring with wide eyes.
"...creepy?" Fate suggested.
"Awesome!" the younger Enforcer responded. "I need to learn how to do illusions like that."
