He was always there for her, or anyone for that matter, meaning she wasn't special. And life around the shrine was so much better now without her brother consistently trying to drag her back home. Her studies on magic were going apace quite well with only one distraction.

And she couldn't bare to let him know about her love and affection for him. Already he was in such a problem. All those nice girls seeking his attention. And she'd met them all, they were all great people. Two of them were goddesses that had given her some help with her study of magic, though Tsunami's methods seemed a little strange.
If Ranma-sama knew that SHE loved him too...oh...he'd never be able to make up his mind.
And besides, she was a shrine maiden (and she refused to remind herself that her sect allowed marriage and didn't enforce celibacy) and needed to devote herself to her studies of the holy mysteries of the spirit world.
Sigh...
