"Containment breach! Forcefields are down to 10%."
"Armor plating pierced, levels one through twenty-two."
"Dear kami, it took out the forcefields and twenty-two section of reinforced armor in ONE SHOT?"
"No casualties? How can that be?"
[I aimed very carefully and used the smallest amount of power possible.]
"It's active?!"
[Goodbye, Mid-childa. The antics of your scientists has been amusing.]
"Dimensional bridge! It's crossing time/space!"
"Shut it off! Set dimensional anchoring!"
"Insufficient power! It's... gone."
Ibiki Morino let himself into the Hokage's office, went to the hidden bottle inside the fake scroll, poured himself a shot, downed it, then poured himself another before he took a seat before the Hokage.
"That bad?" asked the Hokage.
"Complicated, and potentially able to go off like a pile of old explosive tags," responded Ibiki.
"I didn't get the feeling that Naruto was particularly explosive," noted the Hokage.
"Kami only knows why he's still loyal to the village," said Ibiki, "though I suspect I know why. No, Naruto would not deliberately do anything to destroy the village or even kill anyone he could avoid doing so with."
"Ah, so what exactly is the problem then? If he's still Naruto and loyal to the village."
Ibiki downed his drink and set the empty on the Hokage's desk. "Where do I even start? I had a Yamanaka interrogator confirm everything, Naruto didn't even try to shield himself once it was explained what was going on."
"Naruto got bigger," suggested the Hokage as a starting point.
"Naruto is three and a half years older than he was yesterday morning," said Ibiki. "I had that confirmed by a medic nin who examined him during one of the periods between interrogations. He's been eating well and getting fairly intensive exercise. His chakra reservoir and control have increased quite a lot. He also does not have the Kyubi in him."
"WHAT?!" said an alarmed Hiruzen Sarutobi.
"That cute little fox cub that rides around in a pocket of his overcoat? THAT is what's left of the Kyubi." Ibiki waited as the Hokage poured himself a shot of the potent amber liquid.
"It's power was reduced to shrink it down?" asked the Hokage.
"No, it's got it's full power, just it isn't a being of Rage and Hate anymore," said Ibiki, taking out a notepad and consulting it. "If we can get the girl who did the purification ritual to remove the evil from the Kyubi - we really could use researching whatever jutsu that was."
"The full power Kyubi is running around loose," said the Hokage. He then made a show of looking out his windows. "Certainly seems to have calmed down a bit."
"Naruto has access to a set of jutsu he learned while those three years were going on," said Ibiki. "He also associates with a spirit of some sort that seems to consider itself capable of cracking worlds in half."
"Your opinion on that?" asked the Hokage.
"It seems impossible," said Ibiki. "Yet I find myself inclined to believe it is capable of doing at least large amounts of damage."
"So what new jutsu does he have?" asked the Hokage.
"Flight, a barrier jutsu, a healing jutsu, three general utility jutsu," read Ibiki from his notes.
"The Academy Three?" asked the Hokage.
"Yes, though he can only manifest one or two shadow clones," said the interrogator. "As opposed to what he faced Mizuki with. Possibly because he no longer has the reserves the Kyubi granted him before becoming pocket-sized."
"I see," said the Hokage.
"Ahem. One ranged-attack jutsu and a sensory jutsu."
"Only one?" asked the Hokage, a little surprised that Naruto wouldn't go for big explosions and a larger number.
"He also has some associates," said Ibiki. "That isn't the worst of it though."
