"He has fangirls?" asked the Hokage, surprised.
Ibiki Morino sat back in the chair and looked at the ceiling. "You know. This is different from when I was his age. Ninja lived lives of violence and betrayal, enemies around every corner. Torture, bloodshed. Even allied nations and villages were apt to end up killing you because those alliances could shift without warning."
"You're not going to say that you miss those days, are you?" asked the Hokage.
"No, but at least I knew how to handle them," admitted Ibiki. "This 'Des-chan' that claims to be a spirit of destruction. The two women assigned as guardians and teachers. Naruto being famous and a celebrity of sorts?"
"A celebrity?" asked the Hokage.

"Nanoha?" asked Shirou as he answered the phone and a holographic panel opened up above it. "Everyone, it's Nanoha."
"Papa!" exclaimed Nanoha, waving. "I'm calling from the Embassy. Just wanted to let you know that Naruto got pulled back to his home dimension."
"That's great," said Shirou Takamachi. "He was pretty homesick when we took that trip together last year."
"Yeah, and he was such a celebrity that he got mobbed," said Nanoha, remembering. "Anyway, Hayate had a tracker on him and she thinks she'll have his home dimension's coordinates soon."
Shirou Takamachi's eyes flicked to the corkboard on one wall of the Midori-ya, with the various newspaper clippings and press releases involving Naruto and Fate and Nanoha. Here where Fate flew in supplies to an Antarctic expedition. There where Nanoha addressed the Japanese Parliament. The article on Naruto's work with search and rescue following the quake and fire in Kobe.
"So, there'll be a press release on that soon, just giving you a head's up," continued Nanoha. "Oh yeah, have you heard anything from the Superhuman Activities Advisory Board (SAAB)?"
"They're still trying to 'fact-find' last I heard," admitted Shirou as his wife finally got free from customers in order to come to the phone.
"-and in closing this segment of the Evening News, international celebrity and ninja superhero Naruto Uzumaki is reported to have returned to his home universe at last. Naruto, we would like to wish you the best in your endeavor to become your village's head ninja. Goodnight."
"Uzumaki has returned to his homeworld?"
"This is our chance, he practically guaranteed that we'd be able to get a trade agreement once he spoke to his grandfather!"
"I'm not so sure, he seemed to throw that 'believe it' phrase out a bit too freely, but it's something to try I suppose."
"Soon!" said a young girl, clenching her fist and grinning. "Naruto-sempai said he'd be sure to put in a good word with his grandfather! I'll be able to train with real ninja!"
"Uzumaki is gone. Several of the heroes will be gone as well following him. We should strike now!"
The Dark Queen glanced over at her Dark General. She pointed.
FZAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARK! Thud.
"My Queen?" asked one of the Dark Majors.
"How many heroes does Uzumaki's departure leave in Japan?" asked the Dark Queen.
"Uhm, we don't know?" asked the Dark Major.
"How many Dark Invasions and similar projects have other groups attempted since the Kyubi Incident?" asked the Dark Queen.
"Four that we know of," noted the Dark Major.
"How many have survived?" asked the Dark Queen.
Silence.
"That is the point I'm making here," said the Dark Queen. "Dark Major Edsel!"
"My Queen," said a different Dark Major as she stepped forward with a salute that set her sizable breasts quivering despite the dark leather uniform.
"Your plan to remain hidden and quietly acquire resources mirrors my own thoughts regarding the situation," said the Queen, nodding so that the Dark Major would go to 'at ease' for now. "Your plan, should some heroes find us, that we go to that world's press and point out we're only trying to survive and to curry favor amongst world opinion? It is worth readying should such a thing occur. I approve. From now on, you shall be Dark General Edsel and in charge of implementing that plan if and only if it becomes necessary."
"Yes, My Queen."
"Dark Sergeant Ractis," said the Queen, her eyes darting to the shadows.
"My Queen?"
"Use your resources, try to find where this hero 'Naruto Uzumaki' went. It may be another world we can manifest in and then establish a quiet presence in."
Konohagakure, training area 18:
"Why are we here?"
Ibiki gestured to the device.
[It was suggested that my claim about potential destructive power be demonstrated. This is an inefficient use of my capabilities, but I understand that 'showy' is better in such circumstances.]
"Oh? Who said that?" asked the Hokage.
[Naruto. You see that moon?]
The ANBU, Clan representitives, Hokage, and various others all glanced up at the moon.
[Now you don't.]
There was a flare of white-cored red as a beam struck out for less than a second.
Sound was next, as the air clapped into the space cleared by the passage of the beam.
There was a wink of bright light at the center of the moon. At which point the moon exploded. There were glowing tumbling bits visible of the former-moon, all quite visibly moving away from where that white dot had been a moment ago.
