"I have been unable to contact the writer or producer for the series," announced Yuki in a quiet voice. "The best I have been able to determine is that the writer lives in a shrine in Kobe."
"We can always try visiting and see how this is coming about," said Itsuki, making a note to get the address and see if the Association could do some checking.
"Never mind that!" declared Haruhi, pointing at the screen. "They uploaded the episode! Play it!"
"I am Sasuke Uchiha, ninja of Konohagakure. My goal in life is to avenge my clan and kill That Man who was responsible. To that end, I have dedicated myself to getting stronger.
"Finding myself saddled with a swordpriest and a student from another world, I continue to walk the only path in front of me. Strength is all that matters and I am at least satisfied that the two other members of my team have their uses.
"We are currently on a mission to investigate the sighting of a monster near Doki-Doki Village.
"'Sword of the Leaf' starts now."
Kyon hit the ground lightly, his bow slung and one hand poised over the hilt of a kukri-styled shortsword.
Naruto landed at his back a moment later. "Hinata?"
"Searching," answered the sword. "I don't see anyone."
Kakashi looked around briefly after landing, then nodded. "Naruto, you and Hinata stay here and keep watch. Sasuke, keep hidden and ready to respond. Kyon, you're with me."
"What are we doing then?" asked Kyon as he followed Kakashi.
"Investigation," said Kakashi. "We'll start with the village's mayor's residence."
