"I hearby propose:
Thou shalt come to my assistance,
And my strength shall aid thine own.
Abiding by this summons,
if thou dost accede to this will and reason,
answer me.
I hearby swear,
I am all that is good in this eternal world.
or at least I'm trying.
I am the disposer of evil in this eternal world.
Dattebayo!
Uhm, sorry.
Thou, clad in a Great Trinity,
Come forth from the circle of constraint!
Guardian of the Heavens!"
FWUM!
"Who summons me in the name of Caster," said the woman in the hooded cloak, looking around. Then looking down. "Oh. Wait a minute. This wasn't a Grail War Summoning? What have you done?!"
"Summoned a new friend!" declared Naruto.
"'Friend'?" asked Caster.
"Yeah!" said Naruto. "You'll help me become the greatest Hokage ever!"
"'Hokage'?" asked Caster, feeling as if she were several pages behind in the script. Then realizing that it was actually closer to being given one script only to find that she was in a different play entirely.
"The 'Hokage' is the strongest ninja in the village and he protects everyone!" declared Naruto.
"So, you want to be a leader and protect everyone in your village?" asked Caster, taking in the library and the little girl with a little winged lookalike and the little boy who'd summoned her. So far the only thing that made sense was the goal he'd set for himself. "What's a 'ninja'?"
The little winged girl spoke. "I think it's some kind of hero. I take it you don't know what's going on either."
"Accurate," said Caster. "You're a pixie?"
"Right, Summer Court of the Fae," said the pixie. "Seelie Court if you prefer that name. Name's Erethiel. Hinata signed a contract with the Summer Court."
"Ah, as I understand it - that's a very powerful and not necessarily trustworthy group," said Caster. "No offense intended."
"Well, we have our own agendas I admit," admitted Erethiel.
An older man stepped out of the shadows. "A ninja is a person sworn to service to a village, able to use various jutsu -"
"'Jutsu'?" interrupted Erethriel and Caster, who then glanced at each other.
Jiraiya held a hand out and formed a spiral ball of chakra in the palm of that hand.
"Ah," said Caster, fitting it all together now. This child was trying to become some sort of mayor, and the path to that was that he had to become some magic-wielding soldier/hero first. "So you need to learn spellcasting? How much mana do you... oh Hera. You have a small amount of mana over a LOT of mana."
"You can tell that at a glance?" said the old guy.
"Are you the grandfather of either of these?" asked Caster. She didn't think so, but if he was - then protecting the boy from that influence was a possibility. Somehow he seemed a little better than Jason, but that really wasn't saying much.
"No, I'm just an older ninja who managed to hitch a ride," said Jiraiya, trying to guess what the young woman was asking. "The boy has no parents or family to turn to."
Caster nodded. She didn't trust the adult here, but she knew enough about the child now.
