"Yo!" said the toad, raising one hand in greeting. Foreleg? Paw? Flipper?
This particular toad was sort-of a ruddy brown in color, wearing a dark brown vest, a set of juzu-style beads around its neck - or what passed for a neck, and smelled slightly of vanilla.
"Jiraiya has a message for me?" asked Tsunade, concealing any relief behind a businesslike facade. It had been a week since she'd gotten a message that something had disturbed the Tailed Beast within Gaara. The thought that it might have something to do with Naruto had come up once or twice.
"Yup, got it in one, Princess," said the toad. "Lemmee lay it on you."
"You must be Gamahippi," said Tsunade, wondering exactly how stoned this courier was. She also knew that Jiraiya had some distaste for the toad as this wasn't the most reliable among the species. And that was saying something.
"Wow, like psychic princess, man," said Gamahippi.
"Message?" prompted Tsunade.
"Okay, it's like this, if you can dig it," said Gamahippi. "My man Jiraiya was going through this totally rad burg name of Konmei, when he caught this bad vibe. Some kinda reverse-summon thing. Anyhows, he and the little guy kinda got their butts thrown clean outta this world on some psychadelic trip. Told that little guy was throwing up for fifteen solid on the far end. Major bummer that. Remember one time at this concert..."
"Jiraiya and Naruto were transported out of this world?" asked Tsunade.
"Yeah, that's right, big missie," said the toad.
"Call me that again and I'll see how far I can punt a toad of your size," said Tsunade.
"Hey hey, no need for all that violence and stuff. Bad karma, ya know. Just take a chill pill, Jill," advised Gamahippi. "Anyhow, after that, the big guy was all for exploring. Strange new worlds, new civilizations, and all?"
"I could see that," admitted Tsunade.
"Besides, the big guy thought there might be some cute chicks around and this at least got him away from whoever the heck's after little guy," said Gamahippi.
"The former sounds more likely than the latter," said Tsunade drily. "So - what about this other world?"
"That's the wild part of this party, man," said Gamahippi. "When I got summoned to be the courier of this here tale, I couldn't believe my eyes. Thought someone must have been cutting my stuff with some weird stuff, if you know what I mean."
Tsunade's expression didn't change. That must be why he used Gamahippi. Either that or he feared someone with genjutsu specialization would intercept the message. Hardly anything would phase Gamahippi.
"What kind of weird stuff?" asked Tsunade. "And what is the name of this other world?"
