"Healing magic and flight," said Ayame. "Though really, I hadn't expected my wings to be this clumsy in tight areas."
"Ah," said Teuchi as the group left the Nurse's Office. "I told you that we weren't ready."
"Who expects to be facing a level 1500 demon?!" asked Naruto.
"I did," said Teuchi. "Maybe not a level 1500, but I expected something to plow over us. Demons don't rise to the top of their fields by competency, it's a sheer power thing."
"True, but I expected Naruto to learn a lesson from this encounter," said Hiruzen Sarutobi.
"What was that?" asked Naruto.
"As someone aiming for the title of Hokage, you have to learn when other methods are more useful than direct attack," said the Hokage.
"Oh really? And what would you have done, jiji?" asked Naruto.
"Taken that stack of Gold Bars out of the Warehouse," said Hiruzen. "Bribed everyone who didn't start out hostile. Used that Legendary level Chloroform on the most powerful of the opposition. Combined trickery and misdirection, along with the bribes of various items on the rest."
Naruto stopped walking for a moment, blinking twice at the instant reply.
"That is why HE wears the Cool Hat," stated Teuchi.
"Yeah, uhm, right," said Naruto, not mentioning that he was going to try that approach next time. "So, Class World?"
"Item World," suggested Teuchi, holding up his shovel. "This just didn't seem to work too well."
"Trainer," said Hiruzen. "I've got a little karma from that last fight."
"Oh, how much?" asked Naruto.
Hiruzen Sarutobi made a gesture, the cantrip revealing some brightly glowing numbers.
"AH! It's too bright! So much math, it hurts the eyes!" declared Naruto.
"I cannot help it if you are blinded by my sheer awesomeness," said Hiruzen.
"Hey! That was MY line!" protested Naruto.
"Yes, well," allowed Teuchi. "On him - it isn't followed by anyone laughing."
"Bill passed," said one of the orcs.
"YES!" declared Naruto. "Ramen Festival!"
"Ah, good. Creatures from all over the Netherworlds gathering together to show off their monstrous creations," said Minerva, a level 75 Professor.
"Request combat upgrades prior to deployment," said an Android.
"Oh, c'mon. It's a Ramen Festival!" protested Naruto.
