Usagi's New Day: Akane meet Balrog, Balrog meet Akane. [Episode 25790]

Helicopters zooming overhead clued the Senshi in that something was up.

They turned on the news to see what was going on.

"Oh dear," said the mouseboy named Das. "That's a big 'un."

The various Senshi stared, even Uranus feeling a bit intimidated.

This was no human-sized droid or cardian or the like. This was no "Vegas Showgirl" dancer type of daimon or something. Nope.

Ami remembered the lines from the book and recited them as she viewed It.

The ranks of the orcs had opened, and they crowded away, as if they themselves were afraid. Something was coming up behind them. What it was could not be seen: it was like a great shadow, in the middle of which was a dark form, of man-shape maybe, yet greater; and a power and terror seemed to be in it and go before it.

It came to the edge of the fire and the light faded as if a cloud had bent over it. In its right hand was a blade like a stabbing tongue of fire; in its left it held a whip of many thongs.

Looking at this, in the full light of day, it was easy to see why orcs would part before it.

Fully sixty feet tall it stood, glistening shadow with a fiery heart. The head of the thing combined the worst aspects of hyena, some carnivorous ram, and ape. It stood and walked like a man, but there was a wrongness in the way the joints moved to indicate that it merely bore the semblence of a human form. As it climbed the Tokyo Tower, the cameras caught how the metal seemed to corrode and twist from the beast's touch.

"Can we fight something that big?" Rei asked. It was already composed partly of fire, so she didn't think her own attacks would do much.

"It's like fighting Godzilla," assessed Minako. "You've got chew more than you can get in a cup."

"Everyone, transform," suggested Makoto.


She had been chasing Ranma (she'd gotten ready to awaken him with a bucket of cold water when she noticed how his futon was tented, probably thinking about those tramps, dirty rotten sonuvapanda) when she'd noticed she was passing Tokyo Tower. Having never been there before, she let Ranma go (she'd get even with him later) and decided to take a look anyway.

Not very long after that, the monster had attacked.
