Glancing up to the timer above her head, Naruko’s eyes shot wide as she realized how little time she actually had.
12… 11… 10…
“Uh... Um…” She stammered, sweat beading on her brow with the flash of anxiety, still watching the numbers tick down.
8… 7… 5…
“Choose something, idiot!” Sachiko yelled out in frustration. Like hell she’d see the chance to get any family back pass by because the blonde moron locked up like this.
3… 2…
Shocked out of her trance, the Uzumaki girl cried out, “Our Mom’s!”
1…
The three ninja held their breaths, waiting to see if it would stay or continue.
“Well, there goes the match with Konohamaru.” The Wishbringer’s voice intoned with mild lament.
“Kono… He’s eight years old!” Sakura pointed out with a disgusted look.
”Well, obviously nothing would happen between the two of them until he’s older, but that’s neither here nor there now.” Wishbringer flippantly replied, disregarding the age difference as nothing of consequence. ”Besides, with Sasuke out of the fiancé pool, most times it’s either Lee or Kiba. Figured I’d do something different for a change.”
Glancing towards the blonde girl, Sachiko saw how green Naruko’s face had gotten. ‘Better her than me.’ The Uchiha thought with a nod, crossing her arms over her chest.
“So… Now what?” Sakura questioned, wondering what was next.
”Now, I apply your wishes to the fabric of reality; Naruto being the number one kunoichi in the academy, Sasuke having the same happen and both of their mothers still alive. After that, it’s just a small matter of recompiling the S.N.A.F.U. Matrix to accomidate the changes and figure out what we get.”
“How long will that take?” Sakura asked, interested in the process of how reality was ran.
”Oh, right about… now.”
