Slayers RESET: Power for the Axeing [Episode 28390]

by Disruptor

As Zelgadis walked, he rapped his fingers on Ragud Mezegis. 'Lina once told me that she thought all the evil things that Rezo did was because he was posessed by Shabranigdo.'

"Milgasia?" Zelgadis asked. "I'm at a loss on how to handle Rezo."

Milgasia shook his head and looked towards the direction of Sairagg. "Like Rei Magnus, he's a seal for a seventh of Shabrangido. I'm also concerend that your friend Lina might host a piece as well, since she was alos targeted by Helmaster in the future."

Amelia spoke up. "If Miss Lina holds a piece of any Dark Lord in her, it's the Lord of Nightmares, since she did get posessed by her at one time. Also, she did come back out of Sea of Chaos shortly after being consumed by it."

Milgasia stared at Amelia. "I'll want to hear the full story on that one. But as to Rezo,... I don't know. The seven parts of Shabranigdo were sealed into human beings to eventually kill him. Dragons and elves have stronger life forces and the seal would be much stronger. Humans were chosen because of their short life. As each part is reborn again and agian, it will eventually lose power and vanish. Rei Magnus fell because of the use of the Demon Blood Talismans. His body is now what is called the Demon King of the North. We have to prevent another Dark Resurection War."

"Hopefully, we won't have to deal with Shabranigdo and can deal with this peacefully," Sirius said. "If there is no other choice, I guess killing Rezo outright would be in the best interests of all save the Mazoku of this world."

Zelgadis stated, "If it comes to that, I'll do it. He is my Great Granfather and I at least owe it to my family to put Rezo out of his misery. Not out of hate, but out of pity and duty."

Amelia asked, "Isn't there a way to seperate Rezo and send Shabranigdo onto his next life?"

Milgasia shrugged. "That question has never came up. I don't know. Even if there is a way, you'd need some sort of super mage to cast the spells."

Zel and Amelia looked at each other, "Lina Inverse."

Milgasia laughed a bit. "I forgot about her. Beyond that one spell that calls upon all five weapons, what kind of spells has she cast?"

Zelgadis replied, "Dragon Slave she uses constantly, but she does have two spells stronger than it. The Ragna Blade and the Giga Slave. I think she has sealed the Giga Slave so no one can cast it ever again. I'm not sure."

Milgasia rapidly tapped his right thumb against the fingers on the same hand. "She's number three on how many have cast Ragna Blade. Shazall Ragandi was the first. Since you are heading to Sairagg, I can swing up to the Clair Bible and fly back to you using a location spell. Amelia, could I please see one of your bracers?"

With a confused look, Amelia removed the bracer and handed it to Milgasia. The Gold Dragon chanted some strange words and handed the bracer back to Amelia.

Milgasia explained, "I can now home in on the spell I put on the bracer. I'm guessing that this Lina Inverse, slapped protection spells on all the weapons. I'll be back with the information in a bit. Who knows, maybe I'll meet Lina while I'm there."

Sirius nodded. "Right now, information is our best weapon."

The three of them watched Milgasia fly off to the north. They quickly resumed their journey to Sairagg. After about an hour, a flying chunk of ice caught their attention. The ice hit the ground and a gangly teen-ager groggily got to his feet. He spoted the trio and charged at them.

"All right you vile criminal Zelgadis, now you will taste the wrath of the Mighty Jeffery. Uh. Where's Miss Lina and Miss Naga?"

Amelia said, "Last I heard, she was in Xoana."

"Big deal. A couple hour walk no problem," Jeffery said.

Zelgadis and Amelia stared at him.

"We're in Lyzelle," Zelgadis said. "Xoana is far away from here."

Amelia rolled her eyes. "Miss Lina must have used the Dragon Slave again. She got good distance. I wonder why he was encased in ice though."

Jeffery shrugged and charged the group. Before he got to them, he tripped and started rolling towards them. The klutz incarnte was able to do something that no one else could have. As he tumbled into Sirius, the surpised Shinzoku dropped Bodigar. Sirius got back to his feet, as did Jeffery. Jeffery now had Bodigar in his hands.

"This weapon must be useful," Jeffery said, as he stared hard at it.

Through an ulikely chance he focused his will upon the weapon and Bodigar sprang to life. Instead of an axe blade, the energy of the weapon poured out in a torrent of white and blue.

Sirius yelled, "He's lost control of the weapon. It's beyond his ability to control."

Hearing the laughter, Sirius finally got fed up and waited. As Josephine appeared, he warped and slammed her against a boulder by the neck.

"Miss Josephine," Sirius began in a flat voice. "Bodigar is very hard to control. It is the second strongest of the five weapons. Your son is going to die, if we don't figure out a way to stop that torrent. I'm not saying that your son can't control the weapon. It is the weapon itself that is saying it by realeasing that torrent and draining your son's life energy."

Sirius released his hold on Josephine and looked at Amelia and Zelgadis. "Activate your weapons. We'll try to nutrealize Bodigar with Nezzard and Ragud Mezegis."

The two humans nodded and activated their weapons. "Light come forth."

Before they had a chance to do anything, Josephine rushed towards Jeffery with her War Hammer and struck Bodigar hard. Sirius reflexively put up a force field that sheilded him and the other from the resulting explosion. Jeffery and Jospehine weren't so luckly and although alive, were badly hurt. Jospehine's hammer was broken from the explosion and Bodigar was lying next to a tree.

After the sizzling and light had faded, from behind the tree came a largish werewolf.

"Dilgear," Zelgadis hissed.

An image of Rezo appeared in between Dilgear and the others. "Dilgear bring me Bodigar. As long as you don't activate it, it won't go crazy. I have a suitable distraction set up, to keep these people here for now."

A large group of beserkers, trolls, and golems came out of the woods. Dilgear uneasily picked up Bodigar and put it his teeth. he dropped to all fours and ran away.

Sirius clenched his fists, knowing that without his help the two humans wouldn't stand a chance against this many creatures. A human in green plate also showed up and looked at the battle feild. He puled his sword and waded into the battle to help Sirius and the others.

"At last. A battle truly worth it," Galda cried in joy.

Back in his lab, Rezo turned to his partner. "Thank you for warping Dilgear there."

Grinning, Hellmaster replied, "The pleasure was all mine. If it wasn't for that idiot Jeffery igniting Bodigar like that, it would have been impossible to track them."

In Sairagg, Sylphiel felt a cold chill run through her.
