But someone, walking through the halls with a camera, hoping to catch a shot of the Sailor Senshi as usual, did manage to catch sight of it.
Recovering from his shock at seeing the mirror upon the ground, out of Sailor Neptune's hands, Umino picked it up.

Meanwhile Donovan left the school, feeling in the area too many strong powers to contend with. He was only barely surprised to find Anita at the gates of the school waiting for him, staring at something blandly.
He frowned and moved forward to find a pair of bodies. Two students, obviously, before they had been killed, and tossed aside like so much trash.
"One of the darkstalkers..."
"They did not do this," Anita said. "That one was trampled in the rush to escape the school, no one noticed. The other was killed in the confusion, a mugger, or a rival, or a something...in any case they were killed by humans."
Donovan frowned as the girl turned to look at him.
"Do you know who those darkstalkers are?" Anita asked. "I saw what you were fighting and I know. They're the Sailor Senshi. The defenders of love and justice."
"Love and justice," Donovan repeated. "From darkstalkers? What nonsense is that?"
"The same nonsense humanity takes part in," Anita said. "I understand now. We are, all of us, monsters that need to be destroyed. There is nothing to believe in, only lies." She turned to him and looked him in the eyes.
Donovan stepped back from the look of complete void behind Anita's eyes, wondering if she was about to turn her power onto him and he would be faced with another battle.
He was, though not in the manner he suspected.
"You know this Donovan," Anita said. "I am not even half darkstalker, and humans fear and hate me. Just as they fear and hate you. And they would destroy us both once we have outlived our usefulness. You kill darkstalkers but you leave humans alone? Why, when humans have done much more direct harm than the darkstalkers have or ever will?"
He didn't realize her presence in his mind until it was far too late.
"Don't you see?" Anita asked.
"They must all be destroyed," Donovan said at last.
