So, it meant that people could keep on moving the furniture on him and he'd have plenty of time to realize it.
A figure stepped out of the shadows and stepped up behind him. "The shadows grow troubled."
"They do, Stout?" asked the Prince.
The old man nodded. "Yes, darkness comes upon wings of feathers of black."
"Hmmm... Do you have anything else to tell me?"
"As your shadow has grown under the eyes of the night, becoming one with the Moon will make it blossom."
"Is that so?"
"It has been seen while those who long for the brilliance do not know of the creeping hand of shade."
"Really? But do you want to know what I want?"
"That is something that must pass by your lips for the shadows of your mind are past my abilities to pierce."
"Oh, then I'll tell you.... CAN THE MYSTICAL METAPHOR JUNK ALREADY!"
"You do not have to yell..."
"By the shadow... Do you have something that I can understand to to tell me?"
"Only that we must be certain that we make sure that the ceremony is completed before the time has passed."
"Why is that so important?"
"Do you want to have to deal with a whole bunch of people who will want to stop you?"
"Good point."
"Though I do have to ask on question."
"What is that?"
Stout's face grew into a lecherous grin and a bit of drool came out. "She's cute. Does she have a sister?"
"Oh man..."
"Perhaps I should go check up on her..."
"Lager is guarding her. I'm sure that she's perfectly fine."
"C'mon, just a little taste..," whined Beer.
Akane cringed at the creature holding onto the bars of her cage. "No thanks."
His tounge stretched through the space between the bars and came over to her. "Juth a litthle thatthe?"
"Gah..," went the youngest Tendo as the slimy appendage slid over her hair, down and around her face and down her neck until it reached lower.
"Oh yeah, thath'th tha sthuff... ERK!"
Twisting the tounge she had just grabbed, Akane yanked hard on it, resulting in the creature slamming face first into the bars. "HAH! Serves you right!... Ewww! Pevert slime!"
As she threw down his doung in disgust, he fell back onto his rotund bottom and whimpered.
"Got what you deserved," observed Ale.
"Oh, thut upth."
"I do hope you are right," said Stout.
"Of course, he is," said a feminine figure that appeared and draped itself over the Prince.
"Brew?" said the Prince.
"Yes?" came the soft and delicate question.
"I have told you before, don't do that."
"Aw, but I feel so nice here." "Off. Now."
"As you wish my Prince."
"Yeah, I wish it."
Brew rose and frowned. "I understand that we may have guests. Perhaps one of them will be interested in my beauty."
"That may happen, but be a good man and keep off, okay?"
"It shall be done."
"Can Hops play too?" asked a high pitched voice.
The Prince looked at his feet and saw the little man standing there. "Of course you can."
"Yay! Hops play! Swing the kitty. Swing the kitty. Ha ha. Swing the kitty."
"Uh... yeah."
And as the Prince stood there, he managed to feel good about his chances. He had gotten the Moon Princess without much trouble at all. Since then, nothing had happened to impede his movement to his final goal. Which mean that soon he would be joined with the Princess and finally have enough power to bring glory to his Kingdom.
Besides, what were the chances of say... a band of warriors attacking or a group of magical girls coming to the rescue?
