It surprised him to see Vash the Stampede, the Humanoid Typhoon, the infamous outlaw referred to as the “first human act of god”, personally responsible for more acts of destruction then any other single man alive (buy some he was personally credited with The War) fighting with all his being to protect the people of this town. He had heard stories that Vash was not really the brutal psychopath that killed all in his path, but instead was a valiant Desert Ranger who just possessed infamously bad luck. “It’s still isn’t right,” stated Vash as he let D go.
“No, it’s not,” replied D. “But it’s all we can doo. See the woman on the bike.”
Vash turned to see Beryl sitting on a motorcycle, dispensing orders to her mutant army.
Vash nodded. “Yes.”
“That is the “Dread Queen” Beryl, the leader of this band. With the aid of her generals she has the ability to pacify and control barely sentient mutants.”
“I see,” replied Vash.
