Fiancee Waves: Its a goddess [Episode 3571]

by Thrythlind

Well, actually, it was several goddesses but only one of them was there just yet.

You see, in addition to the jokers already listed, some other people had heard Ranma's rather well broadcast wish.

Corellon Larethian was concerned, not only had his daughter forced him to send her into exile and eternal war with his ex-wife, Lloth, but it looked like she would remain the "Dark Maiden" for an as yet unforeseen length of time. She'd spurned, politely of course, every one of the Seldarine, male or female. even Hanali Celanil, who was very hard to spurn and one of Eilistraee's closer friends. Well, if nothing else, this Ranma Saotome person would at least get her a taste for romance. And it was perfect, he was both male and female, so she could decide which she preferred too.

Hades also had a daughter who he was concerned would never settle down. Granted, the whole fact that bloodletting was her energy source put a lot of people off, but she was overall a nice, thoughtful girl. It was odd that nobody seemed to want to be with her, his wife had once commented it had something to do with him being lord of the dead, but that couldn't be it. After all, he was the only Greek deity that had always respected mortals and treated them fairly, aside from Athena of course.

Aphrodite meanwhile, had come to the conclusion that she really was starting to get annoyed with Athena's high mighty attitude. The whole virginal goddess thing was really getting on her nerves, and it wasn't as if the hypocritcal goddess didn't care. She had been part of that whole Golden Apple mess after all.

Eris, also called Discord, heard and, having had a liking for the little chaos magnet for sometime now, used the loophole to let herself become a fiancee.

The Goddess of Mothers, Protector of Childen, Avatar of the Senses, Eye of Ra, oh and she also happened to be the Goddess of Cats, looked up at Ra and blinked. Apparently some mortal had made a wish, and her Lord had decided she needed to settle down and had given her a fiancee. Besides, there was something about the Neko-Ken, but that had to be a joke, no one was stupid enough to train in THAT screwed up technique.

Meanwhile, Megumi Morisato had recently imbibed some ambrosia thanks to a rather weird set of circumstances. Her first assignment as the new Goddess of Encouragement, of course, was to see about helping Ranma through the coming hard times. A drunken Urd and Peorth, who thought this would be a good practical joke on the newbie, could be thanked for that.

And here was the worst part.

All of these girls, while having faults, were caring, rational, thoughtful, and overall really nice people.

In other words...Ranma was about to get multiple fiancees that would respect his wishes...as if he didn't have trouble hurting the other girls before this happened.
