The teen continued down the corridor which ended in an opening to a large room with several levels of walkways along the walls giving access to around a dozen entrances on each level.
"Oooo...This should be fun," he stated with a smirk as he searched the walls for hieroglyphics. He found a segment of wall which had five symbols carved into it. "Lets see...Sorrow, Mighty, Hidden, Heaven, an-," Jeremiah was interrupted by the click of a pistol being cocked right behind his head.
"And what, Heller?" Kiyoko asked with more than a slight tinge of anger.
"Oh, hi Kiyoko, uh...how are you doing today? Enjoying the hospitality of the staff?" he asked with a nervous smirk and turned to face her. She responded with a thump from the butt of her pistol. "Ouch...that's not very nice of you."
"Don't start with me, Heller," she glared at him, her angry face was well framed by her long, thin bangs. She shoved him back a couple steps and lowered her pistol. "Now tell me which corridor is the right one."
"Ah, ah, ah, you forgot to say please, Kiyoko," he smirked. She brought up her hand to hit him again. He perked up. "Oh, another fight then, you remember the last one, right?"
He took up his boxing stance. He just started bouncing back and forth when Kiyoko raised her pistol at Jeremiah's head.
"You tried that one before, remember?" she asked flatly. "It didn't work then either,"
"Hey, I still won, didn't I?"
"It was LUCK, you didn't beat me, bad luck beat me!!" she yelled.
"Oh, we're getting technical now, are we?"
"TECHNICAL, I had just beat you to the ground when some HENTAI decided to grope me!!"
Jeremiah chuckled.
"It was NOT funny. By the time I had beaten HIM to a pulp, you had already run off with the map."
"It's not my fault that you maul everyone you meet."
"WHAT!?!?! He GROPED me, what was I SUPPOSED to do?"
"Ask him out on a date?"
"WHAT!?!!?!"
Jeremiah now could physically see her anger in the form of a bright red face. He smirked.
"It can't be often that a violent, megalomanical girl such as yourself gets that kind of attention, you should take every fleeting chance you get."
"You are going to die a nice, SLOW death, Heller," she added not as loud, but with just as much anger.
"Wait, did you hear that?" Jeremiah asked quickly trying to look over her shoulder.
"I'm not falling for that nonsense, Heller," she growled. "If there were really something sneaking up on me...I would...know...it..."
She slowly turned about and spotted two mummies trying to creep up behind her.
"Not them again," she groaned in frustration.
The mummies almost seemed to flinch as she glared at them and fired several rounds before advancing on the slow creatures and throwing one over the ledge into the crevice.
Both Kiyoko and the other mummy watched it bounce off the wall once as it plummeted into floor with a crunch. Then they both turned their attention back to each other and the mummy started advancing again.
Kiyoko sighed in resignation spun around with her foot, slicing the air in a powerful roundhouse that easily sliced the mummy's head as well.
The head was hurled across the room and bounced off a wall similar to the last mummy.
The decapitated body turned around a few times reaching at the air before it stepped out off the walkway. Kiyoko thought she saw it sigh just before it plummeted to the ground below.
She shook her head in frustration as she turned back around to again confront Jeremiah. What she found, however was empty air and dimming light.
"HELLER!!!!!!!! GET BACK HERE!!!!" She saw the light of his torch heading down a corridor as the light in the room dimmed. "HELLER!!!!"

"Uhhh...Houston we have a problem."
"You've been watching those movies again, haven't you?"
"What else am I supposed to do with eternity?"
"Watch over your chosen one maybe?"
"...They haven't gotten through yet. Besides mine's not a psychopath."
"Yeah, he's just a weasel."
"HEY"
