Captain Jack Ryan, commander of the 'Dreadnaught' sat in front of his command staff in one of the briefing rooms. Currently he was staring at the head of the intel department. The FiB, Faun in black, he really wore a back suit and shades, was currently stroaking his beard.
"Please say that you are joking, Agir," Ryan said.
The faun glared at his captain for a second.
"My name is Agir-Ideth Nir-Adar-Nalo Nilmalladah the Third and I would anticipate that you use it," he said, causing a graon from everyone in the room," And no, I'm not joking. My men caught three crew-members who tried to sabotage varoius part of the ship. Including the main reactor. The thing is, they are on the ship for more than five years and now we found some kind of enchentment on them."
"What kind of enchentment?"
"My men are currently evaluating that. Maybe it's only a conincident that they are wererats."
Ryan sighed.
"Were they successful?"
The head of the computer department nodded. He was an high-elf.
"Yes, he infected the system with a virus that destroyed most of the targeting systems for the long-range and short-range weaponary. All we have left in a fight are the point-defence systems and a fourth of the missle tubes."
"Any more bad news?"
"Only that the Tylison Lightsails are our only working FTL system," Terris, the chief-engineer, said," And that only to 80 percent. And because of some dailsaves we lost 76 percent of our maneuverability."
Ryan sighed again and massaged the bridge of his nose.
"So we are basicly a sitting duck.- Are there any good news."
"More or less, captain."
Everyone looked at the head of the sientific department.
"We have analysed the data from the wave that hit us. I think we know how we were thrown here."
Everyone looked at him waiting. He breathed in deep.
"Well, It looks like it was part of a plan to destroy our ship. The first thing our data showed was an EMP-wave that hit us. It had a shadow signature. Followed by a wave of lunar celestrial magic. And than the temporal energy wave. They followed each other that fast that I say that it somehow was combined in one cause. Maybe an enchanted shadow EMP-granade that detonated near the temporal rift on the 'Eldridge'."
Ryan frowned.
"And what do I tell Saotome?"

Speaking of the devil. Ranma and the senshi were on their way to the Hino shrine. And the senshi were bombarding Ranma with questions. Mercury, or better Ami, since they all were in human or civilian form, was interested in the 'Dreadnaught'.
"You said that the ship is as powerful as this 'Tsunami'. Why?"
Ranma smiled.
"Well, the engineer who planned her put his soul into the design, literally. She died when the ship was build and her soul went into the ship itself."
